As a Singaporean working in KL for the last 6-odd years, ZZ Sup Tulang Restaurant would be the most traditional Malay restaurant I have been to in Malaysia, without the airs experienced in most modern Malay restaurants. Nestled in one of the oldest kampongs I was told by the Grabbie who brought me there, ZZ Sup Tulang Restaurant sits under a cluster of large trees probably centuries old that added ambient flavour to what would probably be one of the most delicious Mee Rebus and Mee Soto I have ever had. Ordering was easy, through QR code. Within 10 mins, my first order of Mee Rebus Gearbox and Daging was served. 2 sticks of Tulang sat over a small bed of yellow noodles, green chillies and gooey spiced sweet potato gravy. Although there were more soft gristle and tendon rather than meat on the Tulang, and the Daging seemed to be absent (but I didn't complain), it was still a wonderful plate of Mee Rebus - one of the best I have ever savoured. 😋 I ordered an extra piece of Begedil (potato cake), which by itself was nothing exceptional, but it transformed into a great accompaniment when swum in the Mee Rebus gravy. My only complaint was that the Mee Rebus was served lukewarm, rather than piping hot - the way I like my food, especially for Mee Rebus served in Singapore. After finishing the Mee Rebus, I wasn't satisfied so I ordered Mee Soto with an extra serving of Daging and Chicken. This time, the Daging was abundantly present. The Mee Soto was nothing short of delicious as well. Unlike the KL version, the Soto soup was packed with rempah-spices and flavourful. To say that the Mee Soto was packed with umami goodness would be an understatement. 😋 Service staff was courteous, and unlike most Malay restaurants that I had been to in KL, the service staff here spoke English quite well, and answered my every need. 👍 I did use Google Translate to show off my Bahasa Melayu, but I embarrassed myself when the service staff started conversing to me in English... 😂😂😂 Will I be back again? Most definitely yes, the next time I visit JB, which will be more often than not. 😁

If you're looking for a true taste of Johor Bahru's culinary scene, look no further than ZZ Sup Tulang Restaurant. Located in the bustling Kampung Bahru neighborhood, this restaurant is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves bold and flavorful food. The restaurant specializes in sup tulang, a hearty and spicy soup made from beef bones that's a staple of Malaysian cuisine. At ZZ Sup Tulang Restaurant, the sup tulang is cooked to perfection, with tender meat falling off the bone and a rich broth that's packed with aromatic spices. But sup tulang is not the only dish on the menu. The restaurant also offers a range of other traditional Malay dishes, such as nasi lemak, ayam masak merah, and sambal prawns, all cooked with the same care and attention to detail as the sup tulang. The restaurant itself is simple and unassuming, with a no-frills atmosphere that lets the food speak for itself. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great choice for a casual lunch or dinner. Overall, ZZ Sup Tulang Restaurant is a true gem in Johor Bahru's culinary scene. With its delicious and authentic Malay cuisine, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the flavors and culture of Malaysia.

If you're on a JB jaunt and find yourself hankering for some lip-smacking mee rebus, look no further! This spot in the heart of the kampong is a real winner. Affordability? Check. The price won't break the bank, making it a perfect pitstop for a scrumptious yet pocket-friendly meal. The authentic kampong vibes hit you as you drive deeper into the heartland – a bit of a challenge for non-drivers, but trust me, it's a trek worth taking. The place may not boast fancy decor, but we foodies know that's a good sign. These hidden gems tucked away in the kampong often dish out the most delectable treats. The just-prepared goodness here has a magical touch that can turn around any day. So, if you're up for a flavorful adventure and ready to navigate the kampong roads, this spot is a must-try. Don't let appearances deceive you – sometimes the best mee rebus is found in the most unassuming places. Highly recommended for a genuine kampong food experience!

I came from Selangor to attend friend’s wedding at JB. I have waiting for so long to try sup tulang merah at Johor. So we went to this restaurant because the reviews was very good and my friend said famous in JB. But i have very bad experienced. After I placed order I have been waiting for 30mins to just get the drinks. That happened after I go to the counter and asked where is my drinks. My family especially my kids already start to asking where is the foods and keep saying they are very hungry. I look around even other table come late then me received the order first. Again I go to counter and they said the order missed out. Then I waiting more than 30 mins in total 1 hour but still no food arrive. Then I go to counter again asked them to cancel my order and the man said that waiter is sending your order in which i not confident maybe he will go to other table. That man not even say sorry and tell me arrogantly the drinks is under him no need to pay. Like I care!!!! Please today you have customers because we choose to go to your restaurant and tomorrow you wont be surprise you dont have customers. Care your customers by service and quality. Dont be...
