We dropped-by Kota Bharu for a couple of days after some good times at Terengganu. The hotel is 2 minutes walk away from cultural center which comprises of few palaces, a cultural village, a royal museum and an Islamic museum. ||||We booked a deluxe-triple room which is big enough to house 4 adults. Room came with kitchenette but cooking not allowed. It does not use access card but rather shockingly, a key. Air-conditioning not able to cope with sweltering heat during daytime but turned as freezer at night. Room is quiet and sleep quality is high. The hotel is right in front of the state mosque (Masjid Muhammadiyah) which is stunning by itself. ||||For food, there is a place called "nasi ulam cikgu" near the entrance of cultural village and its super-crowded all the time. ||||Room service is fast. Whatever item I requested, I received it right away.||||Overall, its a nice place to stay but for the price, they should throw in breakfast as well and upgrade room access to using...
Read morewe booked 2 deluxe rooms for RM160 each per night, it was spacious for the price. Had mini fridge (am not sure whether if we plugged it wrong or setting it wrong, but it didnt work well :/), a toaster and even a microwave. Bathroom is tolerated. Be prepared to have run out of water for few times in a day due to congestion of rooms, people seemed to flooding in over the weekends. TV is boring. Only 4 stations were available. But my dad enjoyed this trip a lot of a lot . Saying this hotel brought him back straight to the city of Madinah. It is literally door to door with Masjid Muhammadi. What matters is he likes it. And we will surely book this hotel again if we are around. It is walking distance to some of attractions in Kota Bharu. We didnt have the chances to go to one....
Read moreI booked the hotel simply because of the location and facilities (I purposely looked for hotels without swimming pool and breakfast buffet because we didn't have time for swimming and we planned to eat outside). It is just a walking distance to many places such as Pasar Khadijah, Bazaar Buluh Kubu and many others. The service is good and our suite (Platinum suites) is just superb for my family. This hotel is mostly recommended for Muslim tourists due to its strategic location which is just opposite the mosque. The calling for prayers and religious classes that are on after every prayer are extremely good for Muslim tourists but may not be that suitable for non-Muslims. I don't mind repeating our stay...
