Chambers Kuala Lumpur by City Home — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

I stayed there for 2 days with cherry home host. I was in a rush to airport and the host was helpful enough to allowed me to check in one hour early. However, the room had this awful tobacco? and sweaty smell and a strong perfume-like smell trying to cover up those awful smells. But I was in a rush to get out. Opened the window in the hope that the smell would be gone. However… I came back to the room at 11pm, tired, the room still smell really bad. I lied down on the bed the smell became worse. Upon closer inspection, to my nightmare, the smells were coming from the bed. The yellow stains filled on the white pillows covers, the white bed sheet was so dirty it’s turning piss yellow. I thought myself there is no way I am sleeping on this bed tonight. I immediately texted the host and explained the situation. To my surprise, he sounded upset saying why contacting him at this late hours instead of apologising for the horror. And started saying how I wanted early check in and he made it happen etc… like that was an excuse for this nightmare. Anyway, his staff came and changed a new bedsheet and pillow cases. I showed him he kept repeating how that is not his fault, it’s people who did laundry, even though he was the one who “changed” the bedding. Incredible! While he is changing, some of the pillows were moldy. Yes molds! I showed him, he shrugged off. The smell was gone. I was already so tired by then. Had no energy to argue anymore and accepted my fate to just sleep there for the night. I asked him to make it just one night of booking instead of initial 2 nights. But apparently it was impossible. I told myself, this is a great lesson and accepted it as I have appointments coming up the next day. No time to look for another accommodation. But there is more. The toilet seat was dirty too. Like dried liquid spots on the seat. You wouldn’t wanna sit there touching your butt cheeks. So I had to use tissues to cover up the seat. And dirty shower floors. Moreover, the neighbour hood is very shady. A lot of druggies around, and shady people lurking in the dark corners everywhere. Gives me creeps. Upon checking out, he said nothing and just handed me the deposit money. No apologies, no nothing. I couldn’t care less though. The amenities were great tho. Great swimming pool and great gym with great view even though the equipments were limited.
