I had the pleasure of dining at Khan Jee Restoran 1 in Kuala Lumpur today, and it was an extraordinary experience. Specializing in authentic Arabic cuisine, this restaurant truly stands out as a gem for anyone seeking a taste of the Middle East in Malaysia.

From the moment I entered, I was impressed by the warm ambiance and welcoming staff. The decor reflects a blend of traditional and modern Arabic aesthetics, creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that sets the tone for an enjoyable dining experience.

The food is the highlight here, and it exceeded all expectations. Every dish was prepared with evident care, offering rich, authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Arabia. The hummus was perfectly creamy, paired with freshly baked, warm bread that had just the right softness and chewiness. The biriyani rice, served with tender, aromatic mutton, was a showstopper – fragrant, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their grilled meats were equally impressive, seasoned with authentic spices that enhanced the natural flavors without overpowering them.

I also tried their falafel, which was crispy on the outside and delightfully soft inside, and the shawarma platter, which offered a fantastic medley of textures and flavors. To top it all off, the kunafa dessert was an absolute treat – sweet, cheesy, and balanced beautifully.

The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, happy to recommend dishes and ensure we had everything we needed.

In summary, Khan Jee Restoran 1 is a must-visit for lovers of Arabic cuisine. Whether you’re craving hearty meat dishes, flavorful rice, or decadent desserts, this place delivers on all fronts. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience in Kuala...

My first impression KJ#1 was very good; clean and well arranged display food counter, with staff who could explain the different types of food on offer. The decor was quite impressive too.

We decided to go with a Mutton Pulao and a Black Sesame Roti with Chicken Achari.

The Mutton Pulao looked quite plain and simple but packed a punch in terms of taste and flavours. The rice has carrots, raisins and some mild herbs in it which lent a nice aroma and sweetness to it. The mutton was well cooked and although not very tender, it was soft and flavourful enough to be enjoyed with the rice without any accompaniments. This is Highly Recommended.

The Black Sesame Roti arrived piping hot from the oven and the first thing we noticed was the lovely aroma of the sesame and flour baked to perfection. Soft in texture, it was perfect to mop up the Chicken Achari gravy. The latter had the requisite sourness from the pickle gravy and the chicken was freshly cooked and tasty as well.

For sides, we got a Palak Paneer and Channa Masala. Both were very good but the palak paneer especially was very buttery, creamy and may even be the best I’ve had in KL so far. This is Highly Recommended.

We ended the meal with a Pakistani tea which was milky, aromatic and not too strong. You can ask for sugar on the side and add as much as you like.

We had a Carrot Halwa which was rich and milky but not overly sweet. Besides carrots, it also had pistachios and mild spices added. Highly Recommended as a sweet ending to an almost perfect meal.

I’ll definitely be back to explore more of...

Food is great as usual ,i been to this place more than 8-9 times ,the staff are polite and gentle ,but the other day when i booked the restaurant with my friends and arrived ,the manager arranged the seats upstairs for us cuz no seats available downstairs . After we dine in and make the payments ,it was alot more higher than usual .We only realize it later after checking the receipt ,we came back the next day to inform this matter and the manager told us ,the price and menu is different for upstairs ,Which was their fault we didn't booked for upstairs ,they arranged it ,and the matter wasn't solved as we expected ,the manager was unprofessional and all he did was yapping and giving out excuses n making an apology . We Usually order the same food when we dine in and we'd have to pay around 350rm(so mostly remember the price ) ,but on that day it was nearly 500rm so we came back the next day to double check but unfortunately the matter wasn't taken professionally to solve .Hence whoever is going to the restaurant or gonna do a booking make sure to double check even tho they arranged you to upstairs because there is no seats available downstairs, they might still going to charge the upstairs price (atleast thats what happened to me ) . We always recommend this place to many of our friends but not anymore due to this bad service and experience we had here .We decided to not come here again anymore because this is a bad experience for us and they didn't do anything...

Some of our friends had never had pakistani cuisine before. We have only been in Kuala Lumpur for a few months, and a local had recommended this restaurant for pakistani food. We had reserved a table an hour before we got to the restaurant. I had reached out to the restaurant a week earlier and they had advised me to call half an hour before our visit. We arrived around 5.30pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was busy and our table was ready. Before entering the restaurant, we were met with the wonderful smell of the meat being barbecued outside the restaurant....yummy. There was 6 of us in our party and we ordered kabuli pilau which was good but I thought could have done with more shredded carrots and raisins. The Chapli kebab was delicious and everyone loved these as well as the bihair beef boti /cubes. We also ordered a portion of the chicken karahi, chana dhaal and a mix vegetables / sabzi dish. It was all good and tasty. The service was good and friendly. My husband ordered the masala chai and declared it was very good. We ordered mango lassi and kheer and our friends loved both. Positive feedback from our friends as I had never ate at Khan Jee and I am looking forward to coming back to try their weekend breakfast. This restaurant has 2 other branches and I can understand why, there was a constant stream of customers coming to dine. The total bill for 6 of us came to approx £55.

Khan A Pakistani restaurant in heart of Chow kit KL with a true authentic taste to feed the appetite local and foreign internationals to the hearts Content. The service is just immaculate. The amount of waiters is phenomenal for the size of establishment with approximately 15 tables 6 to a table on the ground level with a minimum around 18 to 20 waiters constantly going up and down through the kitchens serving the customers with a true warmed smile child friendly establishment to cater for all ages seating on ground floor street level and yet a floor above with a air conditioner room yet this restaurant is only place in Kuala Lumpur where I not even seen a member of staff touting for customers on the street it show the quality of food I have personally (recommended by the Hilton staff )have eaten for 4 evenings meal during my stay KL only a short walk less than 5 min from garden inn by Hilton. The price is very fairly set a meal for the 2 us 2 starters 2 mains nans / chapatis a few soft drinks for less than 60 MRY OR £12 well worth the price. Avoid the rush after 10pm only back. The size of the chappliey kebabs are very compared to the uk also a Pakistani sweet counter too for the dessert.
