Hotel Langkasuka — Hotel in Langkawi Island

The hotel has been around for quite some time, and surprisingly the rooms are very well maintained (forgot to take photos). We stayed in a family room which accommodates two adults and two teenage kids. Beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. Toilet is clean and fully equipped with sufficient towels, bath gel, shampoo and other basic essentials. Hot water and air-conditioning works fine. The staffs were all well trained and friendly.

We did not turn on the TV at all - no time to watch TV due to full outdoor activities for three days. The receptionist was very helpful to book us a last-minute-decision island hopping tour. I was worried to not be able to reach the hotel by checkout time, but she offered us a late checkout. I forgot to ask her name. Thank you 😊

Breakfast menu at the Lemongrass Cafe was tolerable, but enough for us before heading outdoors. The interior of the cafe is very nice. And the servers are friendly too. The hotel is in the same building with a mall, so it's easy access to the ATM, Marrybrown restaurant, Guardian pharmacy, a bakery and duty free chocolates. There's a 24-hour-mart and a nasi lemak restaurant on the right side of the building. Tealive on the left.

Overall, a very comfortable stay in Hotel Langkasuka. When it's all boat rides, beaches and hikes in Langkawi, and all you want is a hot shower and a comfortable bed at the end of the day - this hotel is worth it. Great deal for a...

First day checking in, the room was not fully cleaned i can feel dust on the floor, the bathroom towel is dirty, i called receptionist she asked me "they didnt clean mehh just now?" What a funny question to ask someone who just checked in to the room isit? The air-cond is very hot when we entered but gradually getting better the next day. Water heater on the first morning was very2 hot even though we adjusted the temperature already. No view room. Nearby amenities, dobi, mart, Chinese restaurant and kinda mall. Can park infront of the hotel or behind.

On the third day, i called the receptionist, 1) they took too long my to answer the call, 2) took quite sometime for them to answer and when they did, they just say "hello?" Then hung up on me. Like ???? Then i called again, this time they answer but not really answering. i asked the receptionist named Atikah, to help me get a fork and spoon, she didnt help me settle at all, she just passed me the number to the kitchen directly. When i called the number, the number was puzzled but the person on the line is good. Lvl4: Swimming pool looks bad, like havent been cleaned in a long time. Gym pretty basic. Restaurant. Few halls for event.

The hotel is cheap but isit worth the stay? No. Will i stay here again? Nope.

Booked a room for 2 pax, only 1 key card given. Ask for another, they want deposit. You expect guests in and out together? Further questions, the 2 night shift receptionists face and tone changed. They don't fit to be at front desk. The rooms floor cleanliness can be improved. bathroom shampoo dispenser empty. 2 bottles "liquid" put beside basin but wrongly labelled.1 label "Pet, refill bottle", another label "cloth washing liquid". And nothing for placing of shampoos in shower, have to put everything on floor! Water dripped from aircond for my 2 nights stay, can't have proper sleep. Guess not properly serviced. Unless you have plenty programs at night, or else don't stay here. The TV channels will bored you to death. All Malay dramas and religious talks except 1 Mandarin channel. Seems don't expect multiracial guests or global tourists. Cafe food improved. Cafe staff and housekeeping are friendly. This hotel is lucky to be attached to shopping mall and duty free shop....
