Portuguese Settlement, New Jetty — Restaurant in Malacca

This my first and last time to visit this Portuguese Settlement! I was shopping at the stalls in front of restaurant after dinner. One of the stall owner is rude and impolite when I was buying the items. Stall owner : "if you have no money, go away!" I was buying but being chased away?! I've then walked to the square with Christmas Decorations, after taking one photo, I've been approached by one of the person, "requesting" for donation. I'm alright for donation, but the way the person approached was not right as he meant it as "obligated" and the face expression was like waiting for debt payment from me! I'm extremely disappointed as I came here purposely for "Christmas feast" end up with this...

This is a place for seafood seeking hungry diners. Cons: However, the experience could be a little overwhelming if it is your first time as you will be flocked by waiters from the many stores there asking you to sit at their place. The fried tofu is nice. Taste like rojak in penang/ipoh with the rojak prawn sauce. But if you are coming to this area to eat, be ready that a lot of stalls owner will surround you even before you come down from your car.
