Rainbow Hotel :
Standard twin room, no. of room 203, couple with a baby
Pro : comfortable bed interesting channels (including Fox Movies channel) fridge is cold (Toshiba)
Cons : did not provide 3 in 1 sachets (coffee sachets), sugar, creamer n so on did not provide mineral water bottle did not provide hair dryer did not provide iron (must go to ground level to iron if you want to) plugs are limited. (need to charge handphone and use kettle at the same plug, plus the bad thing is the only plug located behind the tv) the room (standard twin) is very narrow. For Muslims it's hard to perform prayers. (me myself prayed with the rubbish bin on my left and the toilet on my right). limited parking and can make you go insane if waited too long. At last you have to park your car in an uncivilised manner. no telephone old and very small mini bath tub (mine did not have the hole lid, so cannot fill the water inside the tub, i am not sure about other rooms) the water dripped from the ceiling (i don't know where the water comes from) hotness of water and pressure of water was unstable the housekeeping was not good. Not satisfied with the service. no aircond (but the outside air entering the room was cold enough)
Bad experiences : kettle was not provided in our room at first. When we asked at the receptionist, the staff said "oh, no kettle in your room? Ok i will send it after this." And it took about 1 hour for her to send the kettle to our room. hotel charged per room was almost double during holiday/peak time than usual days. Disappointed. The hotel should not charge as expensive as like that because the room was very bad. the hotel staff didn't inform us about the hotel parking site behind the hotel. We thought the parking site was only at the in front of hotel which was very2 limited. It made us having difficulties in parking our car. at first, they gave us standard twin room without bath tub. After we complained and we said that we booked room with bath tub, the hotel staff changed our room that have bath tub. Unprofessional service. Luckily there was one room free with bath tub. If not, then we cannot change to a room...
Read moreWe can understand that our room is not ready at around 9am in the morning, but they only gave us a non-secured nor monitored place to store our luggage.||||When we finally check-in around 3pm, my mum saw one of the house-keeping girls lying on our bed in Rm 201! On another occasion, I even witnessed another house-keeping girl using that room to do her make-up! Chemical smell from her hair and body lingering in the room, plus black stains in the bath tub, forced us to change room within the hour after checking in.||||The new room 203 given to us was not any much better. The ceiling leaked at the exact spot such that water dripped onto us when we’re using the sink.||||The plump female receptionist don’t take initiative to solve problems in the new room too e.g. no shower curtains nor hair dryer. Instead, we have to think and suggest solutions on their behalf, and we hardly see any follow-up actions even after polite requests for basic services. After a few unanswered requests, I knew that it would be wasting my time and effort to get them to activate the TV.||||Even after boiling for several rounds, the kettle still emitted a sourish taste into the water!||||Try not to ask the plump female receptionist for info around the vicinity, she either has even less knowledge than a tourist, or is deliberately giving you all the wrong info, even on basic things like cab fare to the next town or the nearby market location.||||Bedsheet comforter was stained with black dots.||||The room sound-proofing was so thin, we could hear from level 3, the motor traffic behind the hotel. It is thus difficult to rest before late night.||||Based on our experience, room service stopped around 4pm.||||The only reason that kept us from changing our hotel was the good bed, consistently warm shower, and our bulky luggage.||||Its unlikely we’re coming back to this...
