Smurf Inn Homestay — Hotel in Pahang

The reception staff was rude upon check-in and every other interaction. She was rude, and unhelpful, and lacked any form of local information (eg. nearest restaurants besides the in house one, or convenience stores), which is incredibly important as there is literally nothing around! ||The location is horrendous! From the bus drop off in Tanah Rata, it's a good 2km mininum walk to get here, and around 1.5km to Brinchang. Despite the address saying the hotel is located in Brinchang, it is not. It's opposite the golf course, with no shops or restaurants nearby (a minimum of 15 mins walk away).||The facilities in the hotel are useless. There are no bicycles to rent, which would make things easier for transport as its in the middle of NOWHERE! There is no grab in the area, so you are reliant on taxis, or walking. The TV I'm the room has a blue screen, which was not fixed. The sink leaks. There's a constant sound coming from the bathroom plumbing. ||There is no privacy what so ever. You can't open the curtains to the tiny window to let in any natural light as its right next to the entrance, so there are people constantly walking back and forth. The Wi-Fi signal is weak and barely works. ||Never again would I stay here or recommend it to anyone else! For the price, it is definitely not worth it! Book...

First we booked the family room, including agoda tax, it was RM352. While entering the lobby, the place looks clean and i was expecting an excellent and comfortable room for a stay. When we entered the family room, it has a smelly smell, it was dark and the beds were full of stains. After complaining to the receptionist, the boss offered 2 regular queen sized bed room for us. But it was still dirty. As u can see in the photos below, the bed frames were dirty, the pillow’s were mouldy, and the desk were also dirty. Probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed. While in the shower for 15 mins, there was no hot water, after complaining, the technician mentioned that the water is coming from the 5th floor and will take about 15 mins to get warm. What i suspected was, they didn’t turned on the central water heater as the water was running for a good 15-20 mins, and there was still no hot water. Only after complaining did the hot water run. I talked to Mr Joe (the owner) and all he tried to do was rushing through the conversation and the second time i tried to contact him, I couldn’t get through (I think he blocked me). If i could give this place a 0 star, I would. Definitely can get something better for that...

3.2 “Very poor service. Especially the lady boss there was unfriendly and not helpful ” The President Suite there was not even equipped with basic room amenities i.e. hair dryer, tooth brush, toothpaste, slippers etc. When we requested for hair dryer, without putting any effort to solve the problem, the lady boss just answered hot water will be provided and there’s nothing they can help. (Aren’t hot water and hair dryer completely different matter?😵) Ended up we borrowed hair dryer from other residents ourselves at night. Just to highlight about the hot water that she proud of, my husband took shower with icy cold water at night in Cameron Highlands because the hot water supply there was not stable. There were stains on the towels. Plus when we tried calling to the enquiry hotline - Mr Joe, the only thing he concerned was whether we want to check in. After we stated our problem, he did not pick up our call and never reply message after read the message. Really disappointed and poor service from owner and definitely would not...
