Hotel EC at KIP Sentral KLIA 1 - KLIA 2 — Hotel in Sepang

I seldom write reviews, but exception must be made here. On 21 Oct, I wrongly booked a room for 23/24 Oct. Then I made another booking on 22/23 Oct. On 22 Oct, Agoda contacted me and advised that I might encounter problem if I arrived after 12 midnight as it is stated in their page that their check in time is until 11.30pm. The hotel contacted me later and offered to wait until my arrival at 1am. Their effort in meeting and accommodating my check in is beyond my expectation. Infact I hv resigned to the fact that I need to look for another accommodation as it was my mistake for not checking and abide to the standard check in time. They hv also advised me to cancel the wrong booking, with booking fee refunded, even though the T&C in Agoda stated otherwise. Needless to say, the room is very clean and comfortable. I must give credit to Man, for his exceptional and tremendous understanding and waited until my arrival. EC@KIP Sentral may be a budget hotel but their services are on par if not better than some 5 Star...

We used this hotel for transit in and out of KL. Pick up and drop off at the airport was provided by the hotel for 40 Malaysian ringgit each way. The trip took approximately 15 minutes. We booked the lowest cost room which only cost 90 ringgit. It was very basic. There was no window which we knew when booking, the shower and toilet were in one small room with no screen between them so everything got wet. There was nowhere to put your clothes and very little space on the floor as the bed occupied most of the room. There is a great local restaurant 100metres from the hotel (turn right when leaving the hotel, walk 50 metres and turn right onto main road then walk another 50 metres) and a shopping centre across the road has a supermarket and other food options. The initial greeting from the front of house staff often sets the tone for your stay. The reception I received was very friendly and helpful with advice on where I could eat nearby.

The room itself is best described as compact, though as I was travelling alone it was no problem as I had little luggage.

The room had quite a strong sweet chemical smell to it but it the bed was comfortable and thankfully the shower was hot rather than just warm.

Plenty of nearby food places from corporate restaurant, local restaurants to food stalls.

The staff member who transferred me to the airport for my early flight was very pleasant to talk with.
