We had a wonderful experience here at Marisol Boutique Hotel! Yes, there's no pool and the beach that is 600 feet away is not safe for swimming, but we didn't care because of the amazing new room we stayed in that was like a one bedroom apartment perfectly appointed and Marisol, the owner, was the most gracious host we've ever had...... telling us where to go and what to do, restaurants to eat, and basically treated us like family 👪....... she guided us to beaches that are swimmable, connected us to a boat driver to take us to see the arch of Cabo San Lucas, recommended day trips and every restaurant she recommended was wonderful! If you want to have the time of your life at a reasonable cost, give Marisol Boutique Hotel a try. It's so easy to get around from here since it's conveniently located in San Jose del Cabo and taking an Uber is so cheap. You can also walk to restaurants nearby, the grocery store, even Starbucks is a 3 minute walk. We had breakfast every morning at the Baral Bar in the same building as the hotel and had a great breakfast and coffee there. I can't say enough about this hotel and the warmth of everyone here. We will definitely be back! Thank you Marisol!

Liked · This hotel was simple but very well located. The playa is nearby, the market nearby, restaurants nearby, it was great for us to explore the area as we intended. We loved how they provided extra amenities like hairdryer, beach towel/bag, and an umbrella for free. Disliked · -They had an incredibly sick person working at the hotel cleaning the rooms. It absolutely disgusted us to hear the hacking day in day out. We specifically did NOT want our rooms cleaned because it sounded horrendous. -The AC unit must be on its' last leg. It was noisy and wouldn't maintain temperature. -It was odd how there were signs about if you took stuff you would be charged. Maybe they have an issue with that, or who knows.

If you are looking for a great quaint clean quiet and well placed little hotel, you’ve found it. Marisol and her staff were absolutely wonderful and welcoming. From checking in to checking out, we were impressed. We stayed in a street side room with views of the ocean only a block away. The courtyard and lobby are large and open with a relaxing atmosphere. There is an abundance of shopping and restaurants very close, including a large grocery store. The room was large with all amenities. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was a little tight, but clean with a great shower. We would definitely stay here again and recommend for anyone looking for a small boutique hotel in downtown San Jose.

My husband and I spent six nights at Marisol over Thanksgiving, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff - including Marisol herself! - are all very friendly and there is always someone available, but they are never intrusive. ||Carolina, the housekeeper, is excellent - the whole place is spotless, and she re-set our room so thoroughly and thoughtfully, including things we'd left strewn about carelessly when we left in a hurry one morning. ||The central courtyard that the hotel is built around is a lovely space, and we spent several afternoons out there, playing cards and enjoying the breeze. I also borrowed a book from the shelf of both English and Spanish titles available for loan.||We ended up staying in two separate rooms; the first was a standard king room, which was perfectly adequate and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but very clean and everything worked. We even had a bit of an ocean view from our balcony. ||While chatting with Marisol one day, she asked if we would like to switch to one of their suites for the final night of our stay, and we gladly took her up on the offer. WOW - it was like an apartment! Newly renovated and well appointed, it was a special space. We tend to spend our travel budget on things other than our hotel room, but this room would be worth a splurge.||Marisol is a special little hotel, run and staffed by wonderful people. If we return to San Jose Del Cabo, I know where...

We enjoyed our brief stay at Marisol Hotel. |It is maybe not the easiest place to find as it part of a block with shops and restaurants, but we got a transfer from the airport that the hotel recommended and they knew where to drop us.|The staff were so lovely and helpful, not all of them were fluent in English but they were really keen to help.|The room was clean and airy with lots of space to store our luggage. It has been decorated nicely and feels very authentic. The bathroom was a bit more pokey- you couldn't have 2 people in there comfortably- but it was clean.|The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean. We slept with the balcony doors open (there was a fly screen) and it was very comfortable and not very noisy. You can hear the sea as you fall asleep.|The beach was max 5 min walk- it is a long public beach with lots of resorts along it. You can walk along the beach to go to resort restaurants. The currents are strong and it was advised not to swim in that area.|You can walk from the hotel to many restaurants and get a taxi to the town centre. We walked back as the traffic was crazy on Thursday night (they have a art market which gets very busy) and it took 30-40mins. It feels very safe walking around at night as a couple.|I would definitely stay here again for a short stay or as a base for other trips- this is not a resort, there is no...
