My Review|(This might be a little long—remember, this is MY family’s experience. I’m used to higher standards, like the Royaltons.)||I would rate this hotel a 7 out of 10. We wouldn’t return in the future.||The Hotel||The wind is intense in the lobby area on the L level. The rest of the resort is hot, but a breeze comes through in the afternoon, which is nice and refreshing. The kids’ waterpark is also quite windy, as is the food area near the ocean.||The pool water isn’t cold—it’s perfectly refreshing after being in the sun. Make sure you bring lots of sunscreen! The gift shop sells it for $30–$70 a bottle depending on size and brand—WAY too expensive.||The pool has some daytime activities, but not enough to keep us entertained for long.||The waiters were amazing—always bringing towels, and water without even being asked. |They’re constantly coming by to take drink orders also. |Tipping is optional; we tipped a few dollars daily to those who made our trip feel special, and the service was consistently great regardless.||Shoutout to Alvin, the beach concierge—he was fantastic! He helped us book activities, told us what was going on throughout the day, got us towels, and shared lots of helpful info about Mexico and the resort. As Preferred Club guests, we got free hydrotherapy and a shopping tour. Alvin really made our stay better—such a great guy!||⸻||HIGHLY RECOMMEND: The Shopping Tour||This was booked through Alvin. It’s a small boat (expect to get a little wet!) that takes you to a new mall, where you have two hours to explore and shop. Then, they bring you back to the hotel. Stores included H&M, Zara, Sephora, and several Mexican-style boutiques (think Forever 21/Urban Planet, but better quality). We tipped the boat captain $10, but that’s optional.||Hydrotherapy was super relaxing—the cold plunge was the best part for me!||I was disappointed that I didn’t receive a beach bag as a Preferred Club guest. I was told it’s only for certain suites like oceanfront, presidential, vacation club, or VIP.||They don’t have an official timeshare, but something very similar. We originally agreed to a 3-hour presentation (for free massages and tickets to Isla Mujeres), but we got sick first day from traveling, heat and dehydration. Despite saying “no” multiple times, the representative at the hotel was VERY persistent and pushy.||My advice: firmly say NO unless you want to waste 3+ hours listening to a sales pitch. We met someone who did it, and he said it lasted 3.5 hours and wasn’t worth it for free items. ||The Food||The buffet was disappointing. Not much variety and the same food every day. We stopped going after day three of our 7-day trip.| • Breakfast: Omelet station, smoothie bar, and random sides.| • Lunch: Pasta, tacos, and more of those random sides.||BUT—a guy sings mariachi at breakfast and he was amazing! You can ask him to sing at your table. We tipped him a few dollars—definitely the best part of breakfast!||As Preferred Club guests, we mostly ate at Blue Water (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Ask for Ruban (the sandwich guy) and Juan ( won #1)—they’re the BEST!||The Steakhouse (Preferred Club dinner) was incredible. You have to book it early. The app didn’t always work, so we just checked every 30 minutes. Must-tries: beet salad and cheese empanadas—so good!||We also tried teppanyaki one night—fantastic! Big portions and a fun show.||We didn’t try all the restaurants—once we found our favorites, we kept going back.||During the day, there were pop-up food stations: tacos, poke bowls, burgers, sushi, and a kids’ snack area with candy. Some nights they had Mexican BBQ before the shows—also very good.||The Entertainment||Most evening shows were for kids—magic, circus, and a traditional Mexican show. They also had a silent disco with three music channels and karaoke.|The fire show is great but the seating is uncomfortable as it’s cement seating unless you want to buy a bottle then you get to sit at comfy couches. ||The Air Conditioning||The AC was lacking throughout the resort. It’s mostly outdoors, but even the indoor areas struggled.| • No AC in elevators, hallways, or common areas.| • Desires Bar (where nightly events happen) was hotter than outside—especially once it filled up.| • The pool table in Desires Bar was very hot due to the heat.||On day one, our room door slammed so hard it broke—we got stuck inside and had to call maintenance. Tip: Don’t open both the patio and front doors at the same time—the wind slams the door shut.||We also lost power 3 times during our stay and it seemed like the whole hotel went out. It was restored within 5 minutes, and Wi-Fi returned after about 10. Not sure why this kept happening.||The Café – BEST Part of the Hotel!||They had tons of options: coffee, ice cream, muffins, sandwiches, and snacks.||Ask for Iris at night—she makes the best drinks and is so sweet!||The Beach||If you love long beach walks, this resort may not be for you. One side of the beach has a large seaweed buildup that smells terrible 🤢🤮, and the other side has crocodile 🐊 warning signs—we turned around!||That said, staff do an amazing job cleaning the seaweed, especially in the morning and throughout the day.||There are 5–6 hammocks in the water—super relaxing to lie in and soak up the sun!||I’m a pool girly, so I spent most of my time there. By afternoon, chairs fill up quickly. Tip: Reserve a prime spot by 9–11 AM by putting towels down. If you want sun all day, pick the side near the bushes opposite the hotel. The side next to the building gets blocked around 1–3 PM and feels chilly.||There are two iguanas 🦎 that hang around the beach. One jumped on us while we were on our lounge chairs 😅! Their hang out place seems to be by the water sport shack. They’re harmless unless you get too close.||The ocean water is nicest between 9 AM and noon. After that, more seaweed builds up and the water gets very warm—not refreshing when you’re already hot.||Water Activities||They offer a “free” sailboat tour, paddleboards, and kayaks. BUT when I asked about the sailboat, the staff said, “I don’t work for free—I work for tips,” which felt a little rude and pushy.||The surfing simulator was awesome! I got up a few times with help from Max, the attendant. You get three tries, then back in line for another go.||Not much going on in the pool otherwise—no foam parties or high-energy games. They did have aqua aerobics, but that’s about it. Definitely a letdown in terms of pool entertainment.||If you have any questions, feel free to ask other wise enjoy as much...
Read moreI am not one to usually write super long reviews but this one is going to be ! ||I have been too this resort twice now, and both times I had the most wonderful experience, everything is clean, well taken care of and well planned. ||The actual beauty of the resort itself is insane, and the views from the rooms are to die for, they have shows every night that are really good personally my favorite was the urban show, the people were extremely talented ! ||When it comes too keeping yourself busy, if you’re an extroverted person like me you’ll love that they offer different activities every single day like yoga, water aerobics, beach volleyball, ceramic painting, Zumba, salsa lessons and the list goes on and on, they even have an app for the hotel where you can see what activities are going on every day ! ||Not to mention the fact that this dreams has one of the best entertainment teams I have ever met (and I’ve been coming to Mexico since I was 8 years old ), they are all so full of life and so incredibly kind, I had a chance to get to know Erik, Zeus, rubi, Irene, max, Robert, and zamir over my 8 days there and let me just tell you these guys are absolutely amazing at their job, they keep everything high energy, and even when you mess up they encourage you to keep going ( for example during beach volleyball they kept letting me serve the ball and would cheer even though I missed hitting it over the net about 100 times lol ) so if you’re the type of person that gets nervous to do activities because you don’t think you know how to do something absolutely don’t be afraid because this entertainment team will make you feel like you are their best friend and they will be your biggest cheerleaders! ||I’d also like to specifically mention that I got a chance to learn that zamir is new too working in entertainment, definitely give him a wave and go to his activities, he’s very energetic and like I said I’ve met a lot of entertainment staff and he along with the rest of them did a stunning job at making the stay all that more special, and i can say that I’ve made some friends for life. ||Now food .... My family and I were part of the premium package deal and I want to just first say that, I do think getting the preferred members club is worth it because it not only gives you access to blue water grill (the rooftop restaurant) but it gives you access to vista prime as well which is a newer restaurant they just put in a few years ago, and those two places have really amazing food, but when it came too the buffets, and the restaurants on the main level a fair warning to any foodies that it was just a bit underwhelming, it’s not like the food is bad it’s just not what you would expect from this kind of hotel, none the less you have to remember that they are cooking for thousands of people every day so making really high class food Buffett style isn’t always possible, that being said there’s also a little taco station at the back end of the resort facing the ocean and the tacos there are to DIE for Im pretty sure I had carne asada every day we were there ! ||I also want to give a shout out too the poolside and beachside bartenders, they are absolutely so quick and so funny, and the best drinks I had on the whole trip were when I would ask them to bring me something random that they thought was good, if you’re not a picky person I highly recommend ordering drinks that way because you get a wide range of different yummy drinks you maybe have never even heard of before. ||If you are a coffee and breakfast lover don’t worry there’s a cute little coffee shop that’s open practically all night and all morning that offers a Starbucks level range of drinks and yummy pastries, Isabel and marina make the best drinks and are the sweetest ladies ever ! ||If you have children, this resort is very child friendly, and they have a kids club, a huge water park, and even a little wave surfer for them to learn how to surf, and at the buffets there’s a kids section that has adorable plates made just for kids ! ||The spa ... the spa is absolutely AMAZING, if you’re in the preferred club you get hydro therapy for free, personally I recommend booking a massage in addition to the free hydro therapy, I did that and went into the hydro before the massage and I was completely and utterly relaxed, the aroma in the spa is soooo good, I 10/10 recommend giving the spa a chance. ||They also have beautiful spots available for weddings, just while we stayed there were two weddings going on and the set ups were absolutely stunning !! ||Overall I absolutely recommend this resort, the views, the vibes, the people, and the food are just something that you should definitely experience if you are looking for...

Right where to start this is the review that tells visitors what they need to know before they get there not the day before like our tour company did.
Guest registration took a short wait but checked in no problem, luggage taken to room by guest services which takes us to the subject of tipping. They would like it to be in US dollars which is fine if you’re from the US. If your from the UK and you change £ sterling in to dollars in the UK then the smallest note is usually $50 about £45 which as a tip is a very large tip so if can change it some where. (Edit) I did see a waiter in the get some change for $20 bill so it might be that the hotel will change some didn’t find out till it was too late for us. Everything you might want to buy is in $US. The room large enough for 2 adults ours had a view of the golf course which we asked for but more of that later. The bell man showed us what was what in the room the small drinks fridge how to use the air con and he asked if we wanted a tour of the property we declined. But we did see people on tours. We were never pestered about a tour. Food there’s an app (Hyatt Inclusive) you can download with menus for the ample restaurants around the property, and the World Cafe which is a buffet for all breakfast, lunch and dinner. We utilised the cafe the most because of its convenience help yourself to what you like or a small amount of what you think you might like. Drinks are included, this includes some top shelf spirits so margaritas became to dinner drink of choice. Some imported drinks had a price by them in the menu.
There is a dress code for the restaurants. Suppose it to stop dripping wet guests walking into food establishments. Of which we went to 4 each with a different theme Asian,Mexican, and Italian. The world cafe is a buffet and a bit of everything including a tomahawk steak but alas its to pay for. Suppose it to stop dripping wet guests walking into food establishments. No complaints anywhere about any of the food outlets. Fresh sushi tastes alot nicer than the supermarket stuff back home and burgers are made from scratch in the food hall. We picked a bad day as the wind was as bad as it gets and we had to eat it in a wind tunnel. Which we found funny. Entertainment loads of it. Theres a list everyday in the elevators. Find what you might like and plan accordingly For those that look to see what available on the web site some may notice that there are free scuba lessons in the pool. Well you get a basic lesson and then hopefully you will pay for an extra open water lesson still in the pool and a trip to a reef and a dive to see the fishes. I think that unless you shot out of the pool waving your arms above your head screaming I’m drowning. You would be eligible for the accompanied dive. My instructor was good explained everything and to be honest its a lot harder than it looks. But if you’re reading this I survived and enjoyed it kinda. The hotel is a golf resort what they dont say is that the hotel about 2 miles from the club house with no shuttle now if you book a round through the concierge then they include a shuttle in the cost of the round. But you have to walk down past the pool to the 14 tee box. Of course if you have a car or a taxi then this no longer applies and you might get a better deal on the prices. Didn’t bother me too much but this is about the stuff they dont tell you in the brochure. O one thing about the golf course. The concessions cart is again dollars only and doesn’t take cards and doesn’t give change. All in all the hotel was great, room good size, bed comfy drinks in the fridge topped up everyday well almost everyday. Again not really a problem as they seem to be falling over themselves to keep the guests fed and watered. I’m not a VIP guest, I learnt a long time ago if you set your sights too high you’re going to be disappointed. And theres nothing here to disappoint me. Ive run out of space so thats it I hope this helps with your vacation plans. Would i go back of course but with...
