We celebrated our anniversary at Casa de Jardin with seven close friends, and it was nothing short of magical. Shelly and Sue, our hosts, were the heart of the experience—gracious, knowledgeable, and endlessly accommodating. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth made our stay unforgettable.

🍳 Breakfast Bliss Each morning began with a gourmet breakfast crafted by Shelly, a Cordon Bleu-trained chef. From migas to sourdough cinnamon rolls, concha French toast to Mexican breakfast lasagna, every dish was a revelation. And yes—breakfast is included with your stay!

🦞 Friendsgiving Feast To mark our anniversary, Shelly prepared an extraordinary meal: panzanella, filet mignon and lobster over creamy polenta, and a flawless crème brûlée. It was a private celebration that felt like a five-star event.

👨‍🍳 Hands-On Culinary Adventure Shelly also led a cooking class for one of our friends and me. We made cilantro-pepita pesto toast points and fish en papillote with charred slaw, using fresh ingredients we sourced together at local markets. Along the way, Shelly shared stories about island life, insider restaurant tips, and her own fascinating journey.

💆‍♀️ Relaxation Delivered When the ladies in our group wanted massages, Shelly and Sue arranged for masseuses to come directly to the property. Everyone emerged blissed out and glowing.

🏡 Rooms with Character and Comfort Casa de Jardin features six unique rooms across three levels. We stayed in the Norte Suite, which offered a split-level layout with a cozy living area, kitchenette, and a balcony overlooking the eastern coast—pure serenity.

🏊 Pools for Every Mood Three pools on three levels meant we could gather as a group or enjoy quieter moments in smaller clusters. It was the perfect setup for a group trip.

🌴 South Island Charm Located on the southern end of Isla Mujeres, Casa de Jardin is close to beach clubs and excellent restaurants. Shelly and Sue steered us toward the best spots (and away from the tourist traps). Our favorite? Ulan—don’t miss it.

🚖 Seamless Service From restaurant reservations to taxi coordination and golf cart rentals, Shelly and Sue had every connection we needed. Their local knowledge and willingness to help made logistics effortless.

We first discovered La casa de Jardin on Isla Mujeres November 2024. We spent 9 days and absolutely loved it. The huge suite was more beautiful than we expected. Master bath is big with a large tiled shower. King bed is super comfy. View from balcony is gorgeous. We really enjoyed our many hours relaxing on the 4th floor rooftop area that’s furnished with sofas, chaise lounge, wonderful hammocks and has one of the three pools. And the views! Ocean view from both the Cancun and Caribbean sides. | Courtyard pool is wonderful too. Courtyard breakfast nook is a wonderful place to hang out or play cards, dominoes or board games. Beautiful complex, private, only 5 suites and adults only. We came back October 2025 with 8 close friends and spent a wonderful week with the whole complex to ourselves. Highly Recommend Renting All Five Suites For Groups!! The best part is the most wonderful hosts ever in Shelley and Susan. if you're looking for heaven on earth this is the place to be. The hosts are amazing and they make it so easy to travel. Book your flight and call Shelley or Susan and they will take care of everything else. They set up your transportation from the airport to the ferry, have your golf cart waiting at the bed and breakfast and also take care of any excursions that you are wanting to enjoy.

The beauty of the bed and breakfast is like no other. Huge murals are painted on the walls, beautiful plants everywhere, 3 pools and a wonderful palapa to either swim at or enjoy the views of the Caribbean on one side and the Cancun Bay on the other side. The Suit are amazing. The king size beds are very comfortable, kitchens, and a huge amazing shower.
