Capital O Caravansaro, Mexico City — Hotel in Mexico City

I booked this place because of the proximity to all that we wanted to visit in Mexico City. Unfortunately, at the end, it was the only plus. The room we got had two full beds and a bathroom and was located on the first floor; so far so good. We didn’t have our room cleaned ever. They said the day they were going to do it they arrived and the door was completely opened so they waited for more than an hour for someone to come out and then decided to close it for my protection. I say, why didn’t they contact me? Instead they left the dirt open and “waited around” to finally close it? Doesn’t make sense. That day they gave me clean towels at least, but when I asked for the room to be cleaned they argued that since I was only staying for 3/4 days they were not going to clean it or give me more towels. There are two kitchens, one on each floor full of things from the people that work there which was not too pleasant because the fridge was almost full on my floor. The closet door was not working, the tv was not working either after the first day when the volume was at its highest or no volume at all… but the main issues were that the only window in the room opened to a lobby so I couldn’t draw up the blinds or they would be able to look inside. There was a window in the bathroom which was the only one we could open but it opened to a patio where the other rooms opened and it gave no privacy at all since we were able to hear everybody doing e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g, if you know what I mean; and I had traveled with my daughter so that is a no-no. The previous to last day I contacted them to make the final payment and no response, but in the last night they knocked insistently on my door after 10pm to ask me to pay right then, and we were already getting ready for bed because we had to get up at 5am yo leave to the airport on time. So no, I don’t recommend this hotel even if the location was within walking distance of every place we wanted to visit. What a disappointment! Don’t fall for it, it’s not worth it, even with a discount, unless you don’t mind a dirty room and wet towels, noise, no tv and no proper...

Lo bueno:||- Ubicacion||- Habitacion||||Lo malo:||- El sabado por la mañana (11 de Julio), uno de los administradores del inmueble fue a tocar la puerta para reclamarnos que había entrado un chico por la madrugada, y que nuestros vecinos (ruidosos) se habian quejado de que tuvimos una reunion en la habitacion que molesto al resto de los inquilinos.||Le pedimos checara bien sus camaras, ya que conforme a la descripcion que nos dio el chico tenia un tatuaje en el cuello (bastante grande), asi como muchos otros tatuajes visibles en los brazos. Y nosotros tambien escuchamos el ruido de este chico, ya que comenzo a eso de las 4am y las puertas de las habitaciones son bastante delgadas. Y oh sorpresa, vimos al chico del tatuaje en el cuello ERA INVITADO DE LOS ADMINISTRADORES, porque el no tenia llave, pero lo vi varias ocasiones en el edificio y siempre le abrian desde la oficina. Como ya no volvieron a reclamar realmente ya no quise mas problemas y no iba a amargarme mi dia lidiando con un tema asi, que iban a negar lo mas seguro.||- Al solo proporcionarnos una llave del departamento, si yo salia y mi hermana se quedaba ahi yo tenia que llamar a la administracion para que me abrieran la puerta del estacionamiento, lo que terminaron haciendo de muy mala gana, haciendo hincapie en que SOLO DAMOS UNA LLAVE POR HABITACION, todo bien solo abreme la puerta, me cerro la puerta de su oficina en la cara y me abrio el porton para salir.||- Nuestro horario de salida estaba marcado para el lunes por la noche, y resulta que ellos vendieron la habitacion desde ese dia y nos pedian dejar la habitacion YA. Pros: Low price and location

Cons: the room was so hot it made the stay unbearable. There’s little to no ventilation. There was 2 windows in my room, one doesn’t open, and the other barely opened a couple inches but bc of the design doesn’t really let any air in. Also there’s no sign outside and the whole stay feels kinda sketch like your staying at an off the books hostel.
