Service was extremely poor. Our table was visited by several servers but didn't seem to have one assigned, so we were often forgotten the first part of meal. Our drinks never came until we reminded them and upon arrival mine was wrong. But I wouldn't be writing a review if it was just that. The worst is that 3 times our food and drinks contained things we didn't ask for.
Surprise Beef! I ordered vegetable lasagna. Then, hidden under the cheese I discovered it was filled with beef. Super off-putting for someone who's been pescatarian for 20+ years. They finally brought the correct entrée just as my party was just finishing their meals. To their credit, they were very apologetic, and this isn't the first time this has happened to me.
The nut allergy. Upon arrival, the host asked about allergies and my friend described her severe nut allergy in detail in native Spanish. The allergy info was passed along to (one of our) servers, which he made a big show of confirming with her as soon as he sat down. As an apology for the meat lasagna, they offered us free coffee after dinner. We all got decaf and I ordered almond milk, my friend with the nut allergy ordered whole milk. The waiter set down what suspiciously looked like my almond milk in front of her. She asked if that was the almond milk, he said no. We asked another server and he said it was the almond milk. I finally just tasted them both and confirmed, yes, she had the almond milk. Scary to think what would have happened if we hadn't second-guessed the original mistake.
Is it really decaf? Finally, the free coffee was supposed to be decaf. All I can say is that I was wide-awake until after 1 am and up before 6 am, which is actually when I'm writing this review. I'm jittery and anxious, so I can only assume it wasn't decaf but I guess we'll never know. I cherish my quiet, lazy Saturday mornings, and losing this is what pushed my over the edge to spend time writing this review.
I've experienced plenty of bad service, but being given the wrong things to ingest in your body that are dangerous or change the way you feel is super not cool. The entertainment was a fun surprise. The food was mid...

———- Deeply unimpressed by this place which is unfortunate because we were most excited for this place. The energy, vibes and ratings were all so impressive that we had high expectations.
Don’t get me wrong - the food is good but the service is subpar. I wrote out all the food my group was ordering to avoid any confusion and displayed it exactly as shown. We had a 730 reservation, we were seated by 8pm The salad came with nuts after we told the front we had a nut allergy AND explicitly wrote it AND confirmed it 3x before putting it in. We told them we needed the nuts on the side and our server said we never told him. The salad then came without nuts and cheese? We had no issues with cheese and had burrata on the table. He eventually brought the cheese 10 minutes after the salad. Never got the nuts on the side. Most of their cocktails are tequila based and our party is drinking vodka. We asked if we can sub a tequila cocktail with vodka and he said no. Their menu says they can make a mocktail out of any cocktail so we asked if we can do that with a shot of vodka on the side. He said ok. A good server would’ve suggested that solution, and a great server would’ve made it happen without issue, especially for a loud group that did their best to make it as easy and accommodating for the server given it was so busy and were a large group. The flavors are spot on but the risotto was undercooked. It was a crunchy risotto because the rice was not thoroughly cooked. Steak was hard to chew and cut through Salmon was great. Ambiance was great. Come here for the vibe, not the food. They have little shows with a singing chef and a violinist. The 10 minute show with the violinist makes it well worth it. If your dinner runs past 2 hours it gets redundant with the same performances. And after 10pm the place clears out pretty quickly so if you’re going for the vibe, go for two hours...

Parole in Polanco was a huge letdown. The service was terrible from the start when our waiter pushed the most expensive wine on us. When we politely declined, he made it obvious we weren’t worth his time, focusing instead on the table next to us. Throughout the night, he ignored us multiple times and rolled his eyes whenever we asked a question, making us feel unwelcome.
We ordered a Caesar salad, which came with sardines on top—something you wouldn’t expect at a high-end restaurant without checking the menu. When we sent it back and explained that it’s not normal, the waiter got visibly annoyed and just walked off without a word. He seemed disinterested every time he interacted with us, careless with silverware, and clearly didn’t prioritize our table at all.
The one highlight of the night was the violinist, who really lifted the mood when we all got up to dance. But even that couldn’t save the overall experience. To top it off, when the manager asked for a tip and I said no because of all the issues with the waiter, he got angry and didn’t seem to care about our complaints.
Nice ambience and location, but the food was mediocre, and the service was awful. We were really looking forward to this night, and it ended up being a major disappointment. Not...
