CDMXRENTALS /LONDRES — Hotel in Mexico City

We first found this place on Airbnb but decided to book directly as it was much more cost effective. The building staff and customer service was pretty responsive and mostly helpful. The language barrier was a little of an issue but I managed with my broken Spanish. The building, rooms and amenities are all pretty modern and clean. The building is facing a major road and there is little to no insulation on the windows so noise is a big issue. I can normally sleep through anything and this was even loud for me. They provide earplugs for you but that didn't really help much when you have super loud exhausts and police sirens at all hours of the night. I had all the windows shut, shades down and all doors closed and it still sounded like I was sleeping on the street. Public transportation was also a little difficult in this area. The train line that runs to this area is closed for renovation. The close by MetroBus was not stopping in this area due to mass protests. The Green and Purple were really confusing to take. We mostly did ride share to most places. The room was well equipped with essentials; shower pressure was great, the kitchen had everything, and the internet was plenty fast. Our stay was decent but because of the loud noise and the frequent bums on the streets in the morning, I'd probably stay at another property next time...

This place was supposed to be great, but it turned out to be a disaster. We booked it for a week, and to make matters worse, another member of my family also booked at the same time. The door man was unbelievably rude. As if that wasn't enough, we managed to lose one of the two plastic cards they gave us, and they had the audacity to charge us $600 pesos for its just a plastic hotel card And on top of that, the guy had the nerve to demand immediate payment! He showed no intention of helping us or even opening the door for us. We had an Uber waiting for us, and we suggested charging it to the card we had on file, but he was absolutely rude and refused to accommodate us. And to add insult to injury, he didn't even want to change our towels. I can't believe we paid the same amount of money for this terrible experience. We should have gone somewhere else....

I would definitely stay here again. The area is pretty busy and can be a bit loud, but the location is perfect, close to a lot of good eateries and tourist areas. The apartment itself is pretty nice and reasonably priced. I really like the security of this place and the need to have a key card to go in and out. I highly...
