El Rey De Los Mariscos — Restaurant in Mexico City

DO NOT COME HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! BE AWARE if you are a foreigner! They will use the "bait and switch" technique with their menus. I'm so sad since the older lady that served us was so friendly and caring until I called her out. What happened was... When we first ordered she gave us a menu with prices that are different than the prices on our bill. When I called her out she was like.. oh that was supposed to be an old menu. I'm like ok but why did you give it to me in the first place. Our menu had prices with a covered sticker on it that I found was odd so I observed a local couple next to us when they were seated they weren't given a menu with a sticker price like ours, that was what made me want to double check my bill. I would certainly not return, they had way too much cheese and rice on their seafood anyway. I was originally going to support them since the service was good, until I found out I was taken advantage of for being a foreigner. What a sad day. My friend and I both left with a bad taste...

Hubby and I were starving and we didn’t want more tacos so decided to search around for some seafood and food el rest de los mariscos. To get in was a little confusing since because they don’t have sign outside. I asked a guy near by and he told me to pass the 2 tacos stand and in the middle of it there’s a entrance. We were received with nice welcome, waiter brought us right away bread, crackers and to surprise us even a shrimp soup which was delicious and it was curtesy. My husband ordered the entire fried fish and I ordered breaded shrimp. When the food arrived I couldn’t believe the portion, this people were not playing around and gave us so much food that we had both asked at the end if we could please have it to go the rest cause it was too much. Taste wise AWESOME, we absolutely loved every single bit, it made our evening so much better this restaurant. We recommend 100 % this place,...

This is the worst place I’ve been to in Mexico. I ordered the paella, and my food was very cold. My “paella” was just rice and shrimps and some cheap meat sausages. No shellfish or anything. Very poor quality food. I feel like I would get food poisoning here eating cold leftover paella. What a waste of time and money. I also didn’t feel like it’s COVID safe either. I’m mad at myself that I decided to go to this place, and I regret not just leaving when I saw the food. I ate about 10% of the dish and decided to just get it boxed up, but now I’m just gonna throw the food away. What a waste. Let’s see if I get food...
