I was excited to try the pambazos in CDMX as my boyfriend’s mom makes them back home and hers are phenomenal, but unfortunately I was disappointed in this restaurant in more ways than one. My Spanish is less than perfect and very basic. The three employees were rude as they were whispering, laughing and making jokes. This first impression left me feeling very disheartened. The food was good, but not great. The portions were small. I asked for two hot sauces and extra lime, it seemed as if it was a problem and even left out the extra lime. I tried the chicharron, pastor and the carnitas one and they were all delicious. The three different salsas they have available are also really tasty and flavorful. Service is also very quick despite them having a lot of people and many people placing orders to go.

Estas estaban en el top 3 de mis gorditas favoritas de la Ciudad de México. Excelente sabor, buen precio, variedad. Dejé de ir unos dos años por la pandemia y ahora que he vuelto tengo la impresión de que algo ha cambiado. El lugar está más lleno e inflado por una reseña de La Ruta de la Garnacha, pero en lugar de mejorar, han empeorado un poco. Como se trata de un local pequeñitito y ahora hay más gente, hay que esperar más para ser atendido. Pero paciencia aparte, tengo la impresión de que la masa con la que elaboran las gorditas ya no es la misma. Antes era crujiente por fuera y suave por dentro, pero ahora se siente con una textura seca.
