Hotel B Urban Xaman — Hotel in Mexico City

It’s a great location. The concept and amenities are nice, but needs maintenance. I would not book here again, though.

We did not have water in our first room. It had been turned off because the sink was leaking and needed to be completely removed. We had to report the leak, as they had not noticed. We were asked to pack up and they reassigned us from a two bedroom to a single bedroom. We asked for a 2-bed (as in our original booking), and they gave us a smaller room with a safe with no batteries and a view not as good as our first booking by an alley with taxi drivers who were noisy at night and early in the morning. Maintenance had to come late at night to adjust something in the shower so water would come out in this second room. Next day, our keys stopped working mid-stay. You can also hear other room neighbors at night.

We spoke to the manager requested a price adjustment because of the inconveniences and slight downgrade, but the response was that they accommodated all our needs and the room is in the same “category” as the original, therefore they saw no reason to adjust.

For the price, not a great experience. I regretted not looking into Airbnb...

Arrived a couple hours early, and room was not ready until 3. Ok, it is what it is. Guy made it clear it will not be until 3, so I decided to walk for a bit. Closer to 3, waited from 2 on, so I wouldn't be stuck in line as others began to form. They clearly were stacking room res paperwork, but offered nothing in advance.|At 2:50p a woman walked up in front of me, with a question. The clerk proceeded to offer her a room. Exhale... Fine, I'll be next. it was 3:10 before any of the 3 desk clerks looked up to help the now line of people. I was 1st, and had all documents in hand, and check in too 15 minutes. |I don't mean to be on vacay and complain, but I feel bad for the people in the back. At 15 minutes per, assuming all check ins went as smooth, yet long, as mine, some may not have seen there room for a while.||Elevator was almost as slow as walking stairs, food was eh in the restaurant, but as I said, the room was decent. Lobby employees were helpful with bags and such, and proximity is really good.||So, the price was good, and that helped. But, not the place if youre expecting above and beyond type...

Hice una reservación por medio de la página web para el día 14 de febrero. La reservación la hice para el hotel B urban para una cama king size con tina. Llegué a hacer mi Check in a las 8:30 pm aproximadamente, pero cuando entré a la habitación me di cuenta que no era la habitación que había reservado (me dieron una habitación del hotel Fontan), me dieron una habitación con una cama individual y otra matrimonial, sin tina. Totalmente diferente a lo que había reservado.

Al momento de hacer mi check in en ningún momento me mencionaron que me habían cambiado la habitación, solamente hasta que bajé al lobby del hotel a reclamar mi habitación me indicaron que habían sobre vendido las habitaciones de ese lado del hotel. Y como compensación solo me ofrecieron el desayuno comida o cena (la cual yo no necesitaba porque ya había reservado eso en otro lugar) o bien realizar la cancelación sin cargo, pero al ser ya noche, ya no podía moverme de hotel porque todos los de la zona estaban llenos. Solicité que me regresaran la diferencia del precio, sin embargo, me indicaron que esto solo se podría cuando estaba el contralor y que llegaría hasta las 9:00 del día siguiente, pero que si decidía quedarme con la habitación no podían hacer ningún ajuste porque ya se habría hecho el cargo.

Tuve que quedarme en ese hotel porque no había otra opción, no fui a la única que le sucedió esto, hubo por lo menos otras 4 personas a las cuales les cambiaron la habitación y ni siquiera se comunicaron para informarnos de esta situación.

Adicional, sus televisores son muy viejos, no son tipo smart TV, solamente puedes ver la programación que tienen en el hotel, no puedes ver ninguna plataforma de streaming o youtube, adicional a que su aire acondicionado es muy antiguo.

Me quedo con muy mala experiencia de este hotel, me sentí estafada, porque no era lo que esperaba en mi estadía, me dejé llevar por la buenas opiniones. Definitivamente no volvería...
