We got some tacos (bistec & al pastor) and a quesadilla. The food was just ok, the tacos didn't have any toppings on them, I had to hunt down some cilantro, onions, lime, and salsa to put on them. Which I'm ok with doing if that's the set up, but when I asked for some salsa or something to put on my plain looking tacos (it was just a tortilla with a thin piece of steak) they looked at me like I was a crazy person, then said well we have this if you want to use that (they were pointing at some dishes off to the side with cilantro, onions, salsas, and pickled veggies). 2 of the tacos we got with grilled cheese, and at some point 1 server, then 2, then 3 kept coming back and staring at our plate with tacos, but not saying anything, it was pretty awkward, finally when the group of 3 came by I asked if everything was ok (I was starting to wonder if something was wrong with the tacos and maybe we shouldn't eat them), turns out they couldn't figure out if they remembered to put the cheese on or not. Read moreWow this was the worst service i have ever received in all of Mexico !! And i have been living in the country for 4 years. Here is the letter i wrote to the manager in charge.
we are not satisfied with our service this evening. i waited 30 minutes for two tacos then an additional 10 minutes for my tacos to be made correctly. our waiter never put our order in but most importantly our waiter is no longer serving us. he has helped the tables next to us but not have spoken to us since the first time he sat us and took our order. we have not been asked if we needed more drinks, food, to see if we are ready to pay the check. why are we not being served? i asked to speak with you 4 times and i haven't seen you. what can you do to fix this experience for us?
His response was to comp us for 10 percent. Please save your money and time. The tacos on the street were better. DO NOT COME HERE AND...
Read moreWhile visiting Mexico City a few weeks in August 2020 from the USA. I was in search of something to eat, I stumbled into a Casual Authentic Mexican Restaurant named Taqueria el Caifan. They have a simple easy to read menu and yes in English that has Fresh made Local Flavored Treats at affordable prices. The Restaurant is clean and in a good location right on a busy street across from the Famous Alameda Park. During my trip, I have frequented this Restaurant many times ordering something different every time with no disappointment. The Employees are friendly, kind and attentive, specially my waitress named Araceli. I highly recommend if you’re in the area, stop by and ask for Araceli. You’ll get fast friendly Service and Tasty Fresh Local Food. A 5 Star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️...
