Very nice hotel in the center of City of Mexico, historical district! The place was surprisingly good for the price paid. Very convenient location, within walking distance to the presidential Palace (Zocalo), parks, restaurants and the Palacio de Bellas Artes! Also walking distance to the Metro, which I took to the airport (2 connections) on my way back home. The people were very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay a very pleasant one. The Lobby is on the second floor of the building, and there are eateries and a Starbucks and McDonalds right there on the street level floor! How convenient is that! The room was spacious and very clean. The only issues I had was the a/c was not cooling much, the shower head was shooting some water to the ceiling and the fact that the T.V. remote was missing when I checked in. Other than that, great stay!

Horrible room, expensive and ugly. The room is very run down, hard bed with pillows that are hard as stones. It maybe clean but we found a few fruit flies. The bathroom was old with the grout all around the tub missing. Painting of the room was very mediocre with spots of paint all over the place. Also, going out of the hotel, becareful because there are some streets that you cannot go into. The breakfast offered here was mediocre. The laundry service expensive and at whenever we received our clothing they would staple tickets to every piece of clothing!!! Avoid this hotel. We travelled with kids and we are used to hotels 4 stars and up. We value cleanliness, good price vs services and a comfortable room to unwind. We bought this package through travelocity and was the same price as a hilton hotel but included breakfast.

Location maybe ok for walks but not very clean this place is clutter and rooms smaller than other places. Room has single AC unit and only cools down as they set it up. It kept waking up sweating and the without mentioning the noisy sound, very disturbing. I for sure didn’t have a good sleep. Avoid room 325. Don’t think I will stay ever again on this place.

Would definitely consider staying again! It conveniently has a Starbucks, library, Mc Donalds, Japanese like food, donuts and other sweet stores on the 1st floor. Hotel is from 2nd floor up. I was surprised it was pretty big. ||Beds are comfy don't get the other reviews, the pillows might feel hard for some but i think you can request change. Service is excellent. Make sure breakfast is included and request which one Continental or American in the price. You are better if you call their local phone number 1 5551 302 900 instead of the webpage. I reserved a double room on the top floor with 2 double beds. Quite clean, however just one day the stewardess forgot to clean up but it was solved when I mentioned that on the lobby. ||BRING YOUR HAIR CONDITIONER as only shampoo + conditioner is offered. ||There was no fridge though. The AC was noisy but ONLY when it first begins to work. I did turned it off while sleeping though even in November that it's supposed to be cold we didn't feel it like it. ||There is a pharmacy next to the hotel just in case. And the SOUVENIR "LA CIUDADELA" place is very near!! like 4 short blocks up. The area is quite safe even at night. So no worries. YOu can mingle with locals. ||It's also near the small Chinatown like 2 or 3 blocks. Not to mention close to Bellas Artes Museum, Calle Madero (lots of stores) which goes into el Zocalo. ||||The breakfast at the hotel was good. It offers fruits such as melon, watermelon, papaya, apples in slices. You can repeat it as it is buffet. Hotcakes /Pancakes were good. Eggs are done as you wish. Juice is fresh and not artificial. HOWEVER you are better going out to eat your other meals as it is located next to a Sanborns (1st floor) and other restaurants and local CHEAP food nearby. Make sure to go into the Seven Eleven and Oxxo stores. ||||The hotel overall it's quite relaxing place to stay and the location is superb. Even better than hotels near Zocalo which i have tried as well. ||||The ONLY thing i didn't like about the hotel was that there was a guy on saturdays or friday? that sang with his karaoke IN FRONT of the 1st floor (not hotel door but still the front) and Hotel management should do something about it. He sings terrible!! ||And the Elevator... it kinda sounds and trembles a bit SOMETIMES. Which is terrifying LOL. Please do something about it. ||WIFI IS GOOD ALL OVER, Good hot shower water (gotta wait like 30 seconds to warm up) but yeah I 'd recommend the hotel to anyone...

It's not the first time I've stayed at the Fiesta Inn Centro Histórico, but this was the last time. I booked my room directly with the hotel, through the Fiesta Inn website, using my Fiesta Rewards number, and I selected payment at the hotel, I received confirmation from the email reserv@fiestainn.com.|| Upon arriving at the property on March 18 around 7pm, (After 3pm check-in time), the receptionist indicated me that my reservation was cancelled, and that the hotel did not have an email to notify me of this, and as my reservation appeared to be made through Travelclick, she could not do anything, and that she property was sold out for the night.||I had to explain to the lady what travelclick was, an engine that hotels hire to handle their direct reservations from their website, -I know this because I worked in hotels for a long time- I let her know that my reservation was made directly with the hotel , I showed her the confirmation, I told him that the overbooking was a hotel problem not mine, and that if she was going to "bump" me, she had to offer accommodation in another property of the same or higher category at no cost, transportation, and compensation, and I advised her that direct reservations should never be touch -This is why I always book directly with the hotel-, and that I needed to speak with the manager. ||She communicated with the manager from her cell phone, and after approximately half an hour of waiting, the receptionist told us that "the problem was already solved" and she was going to escort to the electronic counters to do my electronic check in - If the check-in is auto check in, then the reservation WAS NOT CANCELED in the system: The reservation that showed had the same confirmation number I had, and the same rate. || I got a very bad impression of this hotel and the handling of their overbooking. I ma glad I had some knowledge on hotels handle overbookings, What about if I have not know? After the incident, we were not offered an apology, nor any compensation. The handling of the situation reflects terrible customer service, since they were trying to look the overbooking as my responsibility, and not theirs. Fiesta Inn Centro Histórico did not protect me or made me feel safe, and they did everything they could to make me feel responsible for their mistakes. I will never stay at this...

This is an updated review of my previous one posted in January. So far I have stayed at the Fiesta Inn twice this year- first in January and now in March. In all, Fiesta Inn Alameda has been my place of choice for a total of three stays. I love the location, large rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast buffet and accessibility to all things Centro Histórico. But I am changing my rating from five stars to three after an unpleasant experience with a hotel staff member. My two last rooms have been on the first floor and I know the property extremely well. After I checked in this time, I took the elevator to the second floor to the ice station , where I helped myself to a brand new ice bucket and I filled it with ice at the dispenser. Then on my second day as I was getting on the elevator with my bucket to do the same thing, a male staff told me I would have no access to the second floor , that my key would be useless and he stepped into the elevator to use his. I explained I already self-served ice the day before and also back in January and I had not used any key to access the second floor. But he had the audacity to tell me it's not possible - in other words I was lying. Customer service was absent with this gentleman and we had a back and forth where I told him I have been a guest here before and know my way around but he then told me the amount of years he has worked at the hotel and that a first floor guest has no key access to the second floor. A second incident happened when I approached the bar for ice on the third day to avoid the possible elevator hassle, and the security guard was a witness to my discomfort with the situation because the same staff member served me the ice and we had another argument. By then I had lost my amicability towards him.I am returning to CDMX at the end of May for my third visit this year but I will not return to Fiesta Inn. It might seem like a minor detail to someone else but for me as a loyal guest, the disrespect towards me, especially as a woman speaks volumes. This was my last stay at what used to be my favorite spot at Avenida Juárez. It overshadowed everything else I had experienced so far at the property. Third time is supposed to be a charm as the saying goes but in my case, it broke the...
