Suites Elba — Hotel in Mexico City

Unable to have visitors come see you after 10 pm and not stated anywhere, and have to call in administration to come in every time. There are No AC units in room they are fan towers and hard to find outlet plugs to connect and plugs are to far away if needed. Not enough walking space in what is considered a junior suite. No toilet paper or extra placed in rm upon ck in or enough pillows for 2 ppl, got woken up early from staff. Plus if you have suite you have to walk up stairs to get to your room not suitable if you have heavy or lots of luggage. Upon check-in not told they have rules regarding visitation and times allowed to come in to hotel. I myself would come back late from my outings due to not allowed visitors in my room and night clerk always gave me attitude. Plus clerk and mgmt tell you things differently when asking questions. When needed for 2 ppl to come to my room they got upset and allowed only one even when told i was feeling ill. When at lobby ill all i got from mgmt was attitude and told if i had covid when all i had was my bp and sugars elevated and was about to pass out. Yet still to them was not valid to have friends help get me. Top it off Room door does not lock had to lock with my key from the inside. Be Aware that no where on there website or here does it state the rules of curfew to come in to your room at night once a guest or about visitation as mgmt states and upon check in they tell you to sign registration but not told rules of property, curfew and visitation are on back. Worse experience ever had to have the small windows open due to only fan and NO Ac as stated. Not what was imagined from what was seen on pics or read on...

We stayed in Reforma area which is a fine area to stay, close to La Condesa. Our hotel was called “Suites Rio Elba”, which was like an apartment.||Suites Rio Elba might not look much from outside, and it is very inconspicuous from outside. You will find it next to a Krispy Kreme store and opposite a Kwik E Mart. The area feels really safe, you can buy street food, there’s a few restaurants around and also a Starbucks and 7 eleven.||We arrived quite late and the receptionist was there to help us. He has very good English. They have a doorman working all hours to let you in, so it’s security conscious. They can sort shuttles out (it’s a little expensive, so we recommend Uber).||We were very grateful to receive the most awesome upgrade. We only booked a Junior Suite but got upgraded to a huge apartment with a kitchen, three rooms with double beds, two ensuite bathrooms and one more bathroom. There’s also a lounge room and dining table. All rooms have television, including the kitchen. The TVs only have one English Channel (American news). There is one safe provided. ||The kitchen is complete with a fridge, stove, microwave and toaster. ||The interiors look practically brand new and the mirrored dining table and velvet lounges are beautiful. ||In the morning there’s coffee and biscuits on offer. ||We really enjoyed our stay here and the location is good.||For some constructive help, we recommend a ledge or shelf in the shower as there’s nowhere to put your products. Also the maid needs to re supply the bathroom products daily. Bottled water is provided on day 1, but they should also re supply that. The kitchen could do with a kettle and a hairdryer in...
