After a whirlwind two weeks savoring the incredible flavors of Mexican cuisine, from fiery tacos to fragrant moles, our taste buds started yearning for something different. Our search for Asian delights led us to Ling Ling, perched high on the 56th floor with panoramas of Mexico City that stole our breath away. The moment we stepped inside, the vibrant atmosphere enveloped us. The stunning views stretched across the cityscape, offering a unique backdrop to our dining experience. Friendly and attentive staff added to the welcoming ambiance, making us feel instantly at ease. Gorge and Mario were awesome! Diving into the menu, we opted for the familiar comfort of vegetable fried rice, and for a bit of spice, the Kung Pao chicken. The fried rice was a delightful medley of textures and flavors, hitting all the right notes. However, the Kung Pao chicken surprised us. While delicious, it lacked the typical heat we were accustomed to in Singapore. Interestingly, it resembled a sweet and sour chicken more, with the absence of dried chilies leaving us a tad perplexed. Despite the unexpected twist on the Kung Pao, Ling Ling did manage to quell our Asian food cravings. The combination of breathtaking views, attentive service, and overall enjoyable dishes made for a memorable evening. While the Kung Pao might not have delivered the punch we anticipated, it certainly didn't dampen our spirits. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with stunning scenery and a modern Asian twist, Ling Ling is definitely worth a visit!

This restaurant is amazing and highly aesthetic, located at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Mexico City. The drinks seem to be the highlight of Ling Ling, and after visiting twice, I agree. However, I don’t seem to taste much alcohol, there seemed to be sugar than anything, which is a bit disappointing given the price of these cocktails. For the cost, I’d expect a better mix. The food is where Ling Ling falls short. The shrimp tempura, while decent, is pricey, and virtually all the food options are expensive. The food is okay, but nothing special and certainly not worth the high price tag. This restaurant seems more suited for drinks than for dining. The service was not the best, especially considering the high cost of dining here. Our waiter was very rude and not in the mood to serve us, particularly when taking our order. His attitude was very arrogant. Although the service did improve later, first impressions are crucial. It seemed to be a one-off, as the other servers appeared more attentive. My biggest pet peeve was the pushiness to order more food and drinks. Despite this, the restaurant’s ambiance was on point, with stunning views, beautiful decor, and great music. However, the drinks, though aesthetically pleasing, were too sweet, and the food was just decent while paying a premium for the ambiance. This restaurant seems to be one of those places you visit once for the pictures and not return again. Note: This restaurant pushes most customers (including us) to write a review. After reading some of the reviews of Ling Ling, most of them mention names. This seems to highly skew the reviews and the overall rating of the restaurant which is highly misleading.

I came here to celebrate my anniversary with with my partner. The restaurant kind of has two different seating environments one is around the border or outside and the other is inside with all the lush plants. We were seated outside with a spectacular sunset view while this view is great. It is important to keep in mind that you are effectively seated outside and the temperature is well vary accordingly however this wasn’t a problem, as we knew this. We ordered a variety of dishes, the Birria dumplings, whitefish, crab dumplings, bone marrow fried rice, miso black cod, and wok vegetables. Our favorite was the vegetables as they were not overcooked, relatively crispy, and in a good size portion. Most of the other dishes were good as well, but weren’t as great of a value the biggest disappointment was the Miso Cod. It was by far the most expensive (over $50 USD) and the worst cooked it was overcooked and so the cod was relatively hard. I feel that they wanted to copy Nobu with this menu item and to be honest neither restaurant does it well. We did not receive any acknowledgments from the staff about our anniversary, unlike other restaurants in the area. We ended up paying more money as compared to Sud 777, Quintonil, or Nobu. Given the lack of acknowledgment (which is weird considering the other pictures that people show with happy birthday cakes) and lack of wow factor in in the food, we would not recommend especially for how much we paid ($200 USD with no alcoholic drinks).

So disappointing. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not live up to the hype. We came here to celebrate Mother’s Day and I felt everything but special. Drinks were $17+ USD, service (despite there being tons of staff working) was horrible. They forgot our order several times, we had two different main waiters who both seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but there. One of them was chatting it up with coworkers at the cash register most of the time. Food was also incredibly disappointing. The crispy rice and bone marrow fried rice would be the only dishes I’d recommend. The scallops from the seasonal menu and the grilled octopus (both recommendations from our first server) were not good. The Ling Ling nigiris (where they put a special sauce topping on normal nigiri) ruined the fish underneath. I would recommend just getting nigiri, although the prices are outrageous. They tout themselves as an upscale restaurant with shareable plates and yet I had to flag down the waiter when we needed something or to check if an order was even put in because we had been waiting so long. I had to pour my own water and ask them to clear plates we’d been done with for some time (not an issue except when you’re paying these prices you’d expect a bit more). On the shareable plates topic, the fried rice dishes could’ve fed a whole family of 6 and then other items were bite-size. Just very inconsistent from the messaging we received. Would not recommend this place.

From the moment we walked into Ling Ling at the Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was chic and inviting, setting the perfect tone for what would become one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. Victor and Mario were nothing short of phenomenal. Their warm hospitality and deep knowledge of the menu made our evening truly exceptional. Every recommendation they made was spot-on, reflecting their expertise and genuine passion for the culinary arts. It’s rare to find such a combination of impeccable service and outstanding food, but Victor and Mario delivered it with ease and charm. Now, onto the food—exquisite doesn’t even begin to describe it. Each dish was a masterful blend of flavors and textures, carefully crafted and beautifully presented. It was evident that the chefs at Ling Ling are at the top of their game. The menu offers a fusion of tastes that delighted our palates and left us eagerly anticipating the next course. From the delicate appetizers to the decadent desserts, every bite was a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to culinary excellence. In a city renowned for its incredible food, Ling Ling stands out as a shining star. If you find yourself in Mexico City, this is a dining experience you absolutely cannot miss. Trust me—you'll be talking about it long after the last bite.
