Unique destination - elevated by the superior service of Marco, the manager - who informed us the owner actually owns a second locale in Washington DC (Oyster Oyster) - upon researching Oyster^2 on Google Maps it was apparent it also lacked any ambience - this location only has a few tables and a very focused menu - including only one option for wine (Chilean - white or red - both quite tasty actually) - the limitations on the are actually beneficial as it keeps you focused / you’re here for mushrooms. The beef cheeks were superb … braised for 20+ hours - don’t miss those. Another unique and not to be missed dish is the corn with mushrooms : Mazorca - don’t be lazy and look it up. It’s seasonal so grab it while you can. Skip the pate. For dessert go with the bitter chocolate and mushrooms - again, something you won’t find at home that’s for sure. If you’re super nice to Marco, he just might give you a tour of their mushroom cellar - I want to reiterate how much Marco added to the experience - if you own a restaurant, I’d steal him if...

Pésima experiencia general, aléjense de este lugar por malo, y de malas. Pesadilla de servicio en 10 de mayo con el lugar completamente vacío.

Dimos con él en redes como una opción 'de moda' en el barrio donde se ubica. Mesa para 5 reservada por OpenTable a las 13h en terraza; al llegar 10 minutos antes de la reserva el lugar estaba cerrado, visiblemente sin preparativo alguno con uno que otro lavando pisos y corriendo de aquí para allá. Al preguntar por el acceso prácticamente me cerraron la puerta en la cara diciendo que esperara lo que opté por asumir y tolerar. Volví en punto de la hora reservada y tuve que preguntar si ya estaba abierto para recibir caras y majaderías de la misma persona: Marco Antonio Valdez aparentemente el capitán o gerente. Ya habiendo revisado mi reserva en su tablet, me tuvieron parado en la puerta hasta que medio montaron una mesa en la banqueta (lo que llaman ellos terraza) y entonces me invitaron a pasar, unos 10 min después de la gira de reserva, donde esperé la llegada de mis familiares. Mi party incluía 2 infantes con enfermedades respiratorias en proceso, y un adulto mayor a quien íbamos a celebrar el 10 de mayo.

Al solicitar ayuda para movernos de mesa porque estaba iniciando a llover (su 'terraza' en la banqueta no tiene cubierto el techo) nuevamente recibimos un rotundo NO por parte de este tipo, aludiendo que tenía todo el lugar reservado, Fuimos LOS ÚNICOS EN EL Lugar de principio a fin.

Eso si, en el tiempo en que estuvimos ahí pedimos agua mineral y limonada. A nadie le preguntaron y trajeron agua mineral importada de alta gama y por supuesto cobraron muy bien ese ticket. Dato al margen.

Tuvimos que irnos a otro lugar, muy recomendable resolviendo al cuarto para las doce, pero puedo asegurar que esas mesas de la banqueta no pudieron ser utilizadas porque diluvió en el transcurso de la tarde.

Qué lástima que lugares que en primera instancia pueden parecer interesantes por su propuesta o experimento se afecten tanto por percibirse a sí mismos como 'trendy' o exclusivos, o peor aún por nefastos elementos al frente. De flojera.

Reclamando y comentando con sus meseros, es evidente qué no dudan en dar el nombre de su capitán o gerente: Marco Antonio Valdez, pues aparentemente es habitual el desplante y actitud de ese individuo.

Nula actitud de servicio, pésimo manejo del cliente, majaderías y falta de preparación para el servicio.

Si no tienen servicio listo NO den reservaciones. Si dan reservaciones cumplan con el nivel de respuesta a cualquier necesidad que ese elemento de SERVICIO implica.

Si saben que va a llover no coloquen mesas en la banqueta al descubierto.

Si quieren sobresalir, retiren a ese personal nefasto.

Cute concepy but Tencüi leaves a lot to be desired - the restaurant is beautifully decorated but that's as far as the pros of this restaurant go. We were seated and ordered our food, about 15minutes into us ordering, a short man with no manners insisted that we move tables because they were "reserved", at this point we had already began eating our starters. Mind you, we had also made a reservation and aside for 2 other tables, the restaurant was entirely empty and remained empty even after we had finished our meals (so about an hour and a half later). The service and food here is MEH - lack luster and leaves a lot to be desired. The servers and manager have zero people skills and are honestly super rude. Save yourself the trip and treat yourself to a meal at one of the many amazing restaurants in Condesa or Roma - where both the service and food are usually impeccable. Definitely don't...
