What an experience, this place is WILD!!!! I loved the open-air, closeness to nature. I felt secure in having open areas but with a mosquito net entirely covering the bed. The hammock was fab and the fridge, water and room space were all good. I also had a room safe so I didn't worry about anything. Room service checked on me every day and very willing to help. The compost toilet did start to give odd smells after 2 days but overall not a problem. Worried id get visited by creatures but no spiders, didn't get bitten by mosquitoes whilst in the room but did see lizard droppings, big beetle larvae and a snake!!!!! in the garden. Locationwise, you are metres from the beach but as a lone female backpacker I may have liked to have been in the cabanas about halfway up Rinconcito and a bit more centrally- placed. That said, the location is fine but there are a few steps to get up to the actual inn. Make sure you have phone battery for evening walks home -theres nothing lighting the path. There was a big security light outside my room but it wasn't working. I forgot to report this. Loved the sunrise and sea view. Glorious. Would have liked to have known there was someone I could call at night if any issues with the room or wildlife. Did have access to the owners number, but not readily told we have 24/7 access. Fairly sure I saw a man with a head torch on patrolling at night. Never felt unsafe on my own. Unique experience.

Construction begins at 8am in two neighboring properties. And some how when it starts, also the strong smell of sewage begins and stays most of the day. The place is infested with mosquitoes. During my stay, there was no water twice, and sometimes came out with dirt or tiny red worms in it. When I put it to the hosts attention, she became very mean, unpleasant & unhelpful with any other issues that came up. In the end she changed our agreement, cutting my stay from 3 weeks to two, and in the night before last she decided I need to leave a night early, even tho I payed already for the two weeks in advance. Worst host I've ever had in my life! If you can even call her a host. Bottom line, don't stay here!!

Posada La Sábila offers a fantastic nature-close experience without compromising on comfort. Carla, our host, was exceptionally responsive and helpful from the start. I stayed in two rooms: 'Palma', which was spacious with a stunning jungle view and 'Selva', notable for its breathtaking sunrise views. Both rooms were equipped with cozy hammocks, adding a relaxing touch. The location on Rinconcito Street is perfect, providing easy access to everything from cafes to the beach, just a two-minute walk away. With well-equipped amenities and a serene setting, Posada La Sábila is an ideal choice for a comfortable and memorable stay.
