I went to Sambodhi Garden with a group of 15 people, and we were lucky to get this super cozy booth that I later found out was handmade by the owner and his dad. It was honestly the perfect spot to land after hiking to Punta Cometa - comfortable, inviting, and full of good vibes.
We weren’t starving, so we mostly tried their house-made drinks, and wow, everything was so good. I’m a big Mango Lassi fan, so of course, I had to get that, and I loved that the yogurt in it is made in-house. My friends got the cacao drink and the kombucha, and we all ended up sharing. What stood out to me was that none of the drinks were overly sweet—just the right balance of flavors, really refreshing. You can tell they put a lot of care into what they serve.
Beyond the drinks, the whole vibe of the place was special. The lighting, the comfort, the way we were treated—it all made the experience feel warm and personal. And then, as a final touch, the owner came around and blessed us with copal smoke, which made it all feel even more magical.
I’d 100% go back, and next time, I want to try the food because everything looked amazing. If you’re in Mazunte and want a spot that feels unique, welcoming, and made with love, definitely check out...
Read moreI wanted to love this place because it's so atmospheric and lovely, but the food was, sadly, bad. it was the worst, least flavorful veggie burger I've ever had. i had to pick it apart because i couldn't get through it. the fries too were not good. they even looked gross. maybe breakfast or other plates are better? but take my advice and skip the veggie burger. also: after I paid my bill I wasn't brought my change. I guess it was just assumed to be a tip. This has never ever happened to me before at a restaurant in Mexico and I found it to presumptuous and tacky. I wish I had liked the food because the place was so cute. But between the bland flavor and the guy keeping my change without consent I never returned. Lovely garden though; extra...
Read moreIf you are visiting Mazunte you need to visit here! Such a hidden gem with a gorgeous setting and really good energy. My food was absolutely delicious and you could taste that the ingredients were fresh and natural plus the portion size for the thali felt very generous! I could only finish it all as it tasted so good 😋 The chai was also perfect and beautifully made in my books (perfectly spiced and good quality milk). It felt like a real family run place and even if the people weren’t related it had such a warm and cosy energy I felt like I could have stayed for hours! Maybe as it’s a small team it’s important to have patience but how could anyone complain with a setting and food as delicious as it was! Thank you...
