The property itself is beautifully decorated and the staff are wonderful. However, this is a hotel and meant for sleeping and that is not something that I got while I was there. The mosque is located right in the back of the building (out the back window) and there is no soundproofing whatsoever of the rooms so between the calls to prayer throughout the night and people going in and out of their rooms close by and down the hallway, there was constant noise. There are windows above the door that have been blacked out, however, when the light comes on in the hallway in the night (automatic motion detecting) it shines so bright in the room it is as if someone flipped the light on in the room. The beds are hard as a rock. The rooms are tiny. The place is quite the trek to get to in the medina if you have luggage. The views are great and I enjoyed breakfast but would not rate this stay above 3 stars based on comfort and lack of sleep. They also kept it very clean so that was a...
Read moreLocation is excellent, very convenient to all attractions, taxi stands 3 mns walkable distance. Service is very good, reception are courteous and helpful. Hamza, the bell boy is such a sweetheart with excellent command of English. Tarik at reception helped to organzie the taxi from airport, we communicate via whatsapp and super efficient. Breakfast on 3rd floor has the best view of the port. I will suggest rooms in higher floor, as it is more airy. Rooms are decent size, the high ceiling helps. Only comment about the amenities is to change to better soaps, and a floor towel. One of the room we stayed was filled with water after shower because the curtain is too short. Small details to improve. Resto across the hotel (Cafe Ahlen) is excellent for couscous and extremely reasonably priced. Fruit juice in Place Avril is a must (15dhs), excellent value. All in all, this is a very good hotel for a 2-3* graded hotel. Great...
Read moreWe had an enjoyable stay. The staff were very helpful and help us with our luggage from the parking area and always were friendly.
I personally liked the room. It was clean and cosy however my wife was of the opinion that it was not what she expected, but I would stay there again personally.
The only thing to be aware of is that there are no lifts in the building and we stayed on the top floor which is quite an exhausting walk after a busy .
The man in the kitchen was called Khalid and he was a lovely friendly gentleman who worked very hard and always aim to please everybody.
Overall, it’s a good hotel for the budget. I would recommend it however they certainly are better places but you will be paying more money and you may not get a location like this. Just minutes away you have a Mosk and also a Medina where you can buy anything you like. The area outside does look a bit dodgy however we never had any trouble...
