A basic hotel, only couple of minutes walk away from the main entrance of the Kasbah. That also means a lot of noise from all the tourist cars and buses throughout the day. Rooms were cramped. Restroom was tiny with lights so dim that you might need a torchlight! But two things that make this establishment five star is their restaurant and the lady at the front desk, Asma. |They have a Chinese restaurant downstairs which was one of the best Chinese I ever had ! Their sandwiches and soups were equally good. |We had a lot of moving parts in our trip as one of us got very sick at Ait Ben Haddou. Asma, the front desk lady was godsend. She arranged our rooms, got us a cab to Marrakech. We started early in the morning at 6. As the restaurant was still not open, she packed breakfast for us and the cab driver. Read moreI was craving for something different after eight days of tajine and skewers and next to my hotel I saw a Chinese restaurant and auberge. I said hello to the hotel manager, David, and he welcomed me warmly. I ended up having drinks with David and his Chef, followed by a delicious dinner prepared by the Chef. Davis even showed me the rooms at the hotel which I found to be cosy and nicely decorated. All in all, David made me feel so welcomed. After all, he was a hotel manager at JW Marriott Chomgqing, China. So he knows how to treat guests with warm hospitality.
