Hotel Hollywood Africa — Hotel in caïdat de Amerzgane

The hotel is a disheveled mess. Reception is friendly but beware of why they are: Common areas and the rooftop is filthy. The room was quite dirty and there was actually wet feces on our little balcony. The entire place needs to be closed to be redone or shut down completely. The owner apparently will not spend the money for anything to restore. Either the absentee owner and staff are playing a scam game upon checkout or it is the staff and an outside partner who they get on the phone and say it is the absentee owner to help the scam. They told me I had not paid, that the card did not go through. I showed them the official Expedia receipt. The guy on the phone and staff just kept saying no, no, no. Finally I told him to call the police over to resolve it. They apparently run this scam every day and they are used to tourists being intimidated and relenting, double paying. So after this suggestion of the police I was magically told I was free to go! Btw my bank record on the spot also showed it was paid. Filth +...

"Decent stay for one night – simple but okay"

I stayed one night at Hotel Restaurant Hollywood Africa in February while visiting Aït-Ben-Haddou. The location is convenient, right near the historic Kasbah, which makes it easy to explore the area on foot.

The room was basic but clean, with a private bathroom and working hot water. Nothing fancy, but fine for a short stay. The air conditioning also worked well, which was appreciated.

Lunch at the hotel restaurant was okay, though not particularly memorable. Breakfast was simple but enough to start the day.

I appreciated being able to park my motorcycle safely on the property, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall, a solid choice for a one-night stopover if you’re not expecting anything...

In my excursión the driver stop there for the group to have lunch. The food is mediocre and the prices are ridículos high for the quality of food. $12 for a anything in the menú, NEVER order beef Tajine, they will serve you bones with few french fries, the mini beer $3,.00 (250cc). Ordering Spaghetti will be a better opción for the same price. The day before i had the same dish in Marrakesh Medina restaurant for less than half of the price. And the previos night one for $19 Gourmet Tajine with live Jazz music where they serve hugh quality food but it worth every Penny....
