We arrived at Ait Ben Haddou with the intention to have lunch at restaurant trid it was one of the highlights of our trip. It is a small pleasant restaurant and they were serving a set menu for lunch. Me and my friend were the only ones there so we sat on the very pleasant upstairs terrace to have our 3 course meal. It was one of the best meals of our 7 days in Morocco. Ali inabi was our waiter and he is nothing short of a legend. We enjoyed socialising with him . It was a very funny experience and we made a good friend in Morocco that day in such a short space of time. A true escape in the heart of the city! Dunes & Thyme blends Moroccan soul with European flair, inspired by the desert beauty of Ait Ben Haddou. The ambiance is magical—tent-style decor, wide comfy chairs, and both indoor and outdoor seating with skyline views.
We loved the lamb tagine, chicken pastilla, and smoky mixed grill platter. The wood-fired pizza with merguez and caramelized onions was a fun, flavorful surprise. Mint tea and mezze with spiced nuts and olives kicked things off perfectly.
Clean, spacious restrooms, easy street parking, and warm, welcoming service made the night even better. Bonus: on-site rooms are being renovated for future overnight stays—can’t wait to come back! I understand they will introduce...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! We were on a tour to see the fortress and our guide (who was also awful and very rude) guided us to this “restaurant”... The menus was really expensive and there was only 1 kind of salad and 1 kind of soup. You can choose among 4 main dishes. EVERYTHING WAS AWFUL AND DISGUSTING AF AND WE EVEN HAD TO PAY A LOT FOR THAT. In Marrakesh in the main street we ate in a fancy restaurant with dessert and it costed less, not to mention the taste and the look of the food. I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
