Iguana Azul — Hotel in Chefchaouen

My stay at the Iguana Azul was simply wonderful! If you are looking for a place to relax, quiet, with breathtaking views and extremely kind staff, Iguana is everything you could want to spend extremely happy days in Chefchaouen. Starting with the location, which when you arrive in the vicinity of the Medina you will walk about 5 minutes to reach the accommodation. It is located inside the medina, close to all points of interest, picturesque streets, restaurants, cafes. Speaking of coffee, you will have a transcendental experience when you have breakfast beautifully organized by the iguana staff. In addition to being delicious and filling, the view is stunning, to the mountains. I loved to spend at least two hours of my day there relaxing. There is also, on the floor above, a decorated Rooftop, where you will have a panoramic view of the blue city 🫂 The employees are there to help with everything necessary, such as visiting tips, buying tickets, recommending restaurants and whatever else is necessary. Perfect stay at Iguana Azul in Chefchaouen

My friend and I stayed at Iguana Azul for three nights and absolutely loved it. Our room was spotless, fresh, and felt almost new. The bed was huge and super comfortable, with two separate blankets — no fighting over the covers at night! There was also air conditioning, which made it even more comfortable.

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and were always ready to assist with anything — whether it was questions about things to do in the area or helping us book a cooking class or hammam visit.

Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, and the rooftop terrace is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax. The location is perfect too: right in the heart of Chefchaouen’s charming little streets.
