A gem in the blue ocean of Chefchaouen.  If you are ever in the main square, dodge the hawkers and dive into Bilmos for a late lunch or dinner. Our first choice was next door, but fortunately for us, they were closed for the evening. We were craving falafel and hummus, having been tajined out earlier in our Moroccan journeys. The hawkers assured me our first choice was closed and showed us their Vegan menu.  Thereupon we found the dish we were hoping for, and accepted the invitation to take a seat with full view of the busy square.  Our second dish was a spicy bowl of spinach, vegetables, beans, avocado, nuts, and prunes. The waiter asked us if we wanted spicy, and we said enthusiastically yes.  Meals to this point were bland and lacking in flavor. Today’s meal was so delicious and flavorful, we plan to return for breakfast. We asked about a tomato soup, but declined.  Nevertheless, the waiter brought a free bowl for tasting. From soup to nuts, this was by far the best meal in the last ten days in Morocco. If you are in the area, check Bilmos out - you will enjoy not only the food, but the ambiance...

My dining experience at Restaurant Bilmos was nothing short of exceptional! From the warm hospitality to the outstanding food, every detail made this meal unforgettable.

👨‍🍳 Outstanding Service: A special thanks to Lotfi, the manager, and his team for their kindness and attentiveness. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering recommendations with genuine care. The service was prompt yet never rushed—proof of their professionalism.

🍽️ Delicious Food: The menu features authentic Moroccan dishes prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We loved the tender lamb tagine, flavorful couscous (a must-try!), and the best mint tea we had in Chefchaouen. Portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade.

🌿 Cozy Ambiance: The restaurant’s traditional decor and relaxed vibe perfectly complement Chefchaouen’s blue streets. We dined on the rooftop, enjoying stunning views of the medina—ideal for a sunset meal.

💯 Final Verdict: If you want an authentic taste of Morocco with top-tier service, Bilmos is the place. Lotfi and his team truly...

We came to Chefchaouen to explore the beautiful sights, and after our tour, we visited a restaurant called Bilmos.

We ordered: • Goat tajine – absolutely delicious! Served with zaalook and taktouka on the side. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. • Chicken tajine – it came with a lot of fries on top, but hidden underneath was a glorious chicken thigh and drumstick, perfectly tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. • Pepperoni pizza – simple and basic, but tasted fine. • French tacos – one minced beef and one chicken. The minced beef taco was fantastic – saucy, cheesy, and a good portion. The chicken taco, however, tasted a bit off for some reason, but it is what it is.

We ended the meal with Moroccan tea, which was the perfect way to wrap things up.

The place was clean, though a bit crowded (understandable for a touristic area). The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The business is family-owned, and you can tell they care about every detail in...

Good food- probably some of the best in the city but honestly the bar is low from my experience of a few nights here. The views are nice but we actually chose the wrong view - I'd recommend sitting in the terrace and facing the opposite side of the square, especially at sunset when the colours pop. We ordered a meat couscous and a Hawaiian pizza. Both were made really nicely and, for the first time in a week of being all over Morocco, I love that can finally try some couscous and not just get overloaded with tagine (which is also available). Mint tea and orange juice were nice - took a while to finally pay and didn't enjoy the lack of cleanliness of the kitchen (simple things like having completely closed bins that are regularly taken out, making sure the cats are not hanging around near the kitchen. Handling meat with more care and not on the floor in a bucket!) All in all a good place but these are things to keep in mind
