I’d like to start by mentioning that I never write reviews on restaurants, even when I've had a bad experience I usually tend to just let it go. HOWEVER, there is a first for everything as this restaurant is absolutely terrible !
I tried to give it a second chance after a appalling breakfast with my friend , I am disgusted at the service of the staff . I visited the restaurant on 10 of October with my a friend of me , on the ratings that the restaurant was 'brilliant.' As I arrived the waiter was rude, After being sent down I ordered a Spanish breakfast, He said literally ‘ Heh spanish breakfast in Chefchaouen ‘ , Lool , as customer I think I have the full right to order whatever I want . Then he came over and slammed our coffee first . No apology, he just walked off. We have been waiting for 15 minutes for the rest of the meal . Then he started arguing with the cleaning lady . He publicly humiliated her ‘ why you didn’t clean this area , you work is unpleasant… ‘ , ‘ the waiter customer service was shocking . For this time I preferred to let it go and I said nothing.
Today I tried to give it a second chance . We went for a coffee and a gourmet pastry at 7:30 pm . After being setting down, the waitress came and we ordered coffee and cake . She took our order and she disappeared for 5 min , then she came back and told us , we are sorry we only get dinners at this time, and she rushed off to serve another "foreigner" customer . Lol
So if that was correct why you didn’t inform us at the beginning when we just ordered. I felt literally upset and frustrated . Why this isn’t mentioned on the menu ?? I think Triana restaurant has a huge issue regarding their internal communication.
Then I met the manager . I said to him : It seems we don’t have the right to have coffee at this time . the manager just bluntly said “no”, with no other explications .
This place is an absolute joke and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. The lack of professionalism as well as lack of competence by the managers and staff is ridiculous! Please...
Read moreMoroccans and KIDS are unwelcome!!!! am writing to express my disappointment with the service my family and I received at your restaurant yesterday afternoon... When we arrived at the restaurant, we were immediately asked about our reservation without any greeting from the server. As we were unaware of the reservation policy, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. We were uncomfortable because of the staff's attitude, which made us feel more like Aliens than humans, and their unkind looks added to our discomfort. This was especially disheartening as we are a family of 5, including a child and a baby. We were further disappointed when we were told that we could not be served coffee and cakes in the afternoon because your policy states only food is served during that time. However, this information was not indicated on the menu ( it says Restaurant and Coffee)It felt as though we were being pushed to leave rather than accommodated. Many more remarks to make: there were no Kleenex or baby chairs available, the order was placed without asking if we needed anything, and the servers were preoccupied tending to other international clients. It is concerning that your restaurant appears to discriminate against Moroccan natives in favor of foreigners. If this is indeed the case, it is imperative that you clearly indicate this policy so that Moroccan customers can chose somewhere else to dine, as Moroccan citizens , we deserve the same respect and hospitality afforded to all guests. I believe Chawn has many wonderful places that offer excellent service and respect to all visitors, and we hope your restaurant can improve to become...
Read moreOur experience at Triana Restaurant was absolutely awful and frustrating.
We had a reservation for desserts and drinks on the terrace. When we arrived, we were left standing for about 15 minutes even though there were empty tables ( they were just dirty). Only after we insisted they clean one for us, otherwise we probably would have been left waiting much longer. And mind you, the place wasn’t even busy when we arrived.
Once seated, things got even worse. We waited 45 minutes for just 2 juices and 2 desserts that were already prepared in the fridge (they only needed to be plated). Meanwhile, we saw another table of tourists who ordered deserts after us get served their desserts before ours (same deserts). That was the breaking point!
When we went to speak to the manager, the situation somehow got even more shocking. Instead of listening or apologizing, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. She told us it was “normal” for other tables to be served before us since we ordered food, without even paying attention to the fact we only ordered desserts (tho we mentioned so and she wasnt listening). The huge lack of professionalism and respect was unbelievable from her end.
This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this restaurant at all! Unprofessional staff, unbearably slow service, and especially a manager whose rude attitude shows literally complete disregard for customers and unfortunately 0 knowledge for...
