The hotel building ist ok - inside with the typical colorful arab ornaments. Very central -that's why I booked it- . Rooms are clean (thanks to the cleaning service). Beds are ok - not too hard. The interior is a bit old - or at least old fashioned style. The reason why I will not book it again is the breakfast. It is always the same and for me the variety of cold meat and cheese is unattractive. You can have a lot of sweet stuff like pancakes but marmalade type there is only one. After 2 stays for like 2 weeks I can not see it anymore. They have these cherry tomatoes - nice but after some days I was wondering about the spots - it turned out to be dirt. Read moreHaving only a short time in Rabat, this hotel was a nice easy option for my stay. Perfectly situated right next to the train station (almost on the train tracks) and a short stroll from the main areas of Rabat, this was right for what I needed a hotel for. It's hard to miss the hotel as the train pulls up into the train station. The exterior looks like it's had a facelift, but the inside is showing its age. This was evident in the slow elevators, the hallways and stairwell. However, most importantly, the hotel is clean and well looked after. ||||The room I had was large and spacious, with a fabulously cool air conditioner that effectively and quickly cooled the room down. The room had high ceilings and all the modern conveniences you need, such as a TV, big comfortable double bed, a work desk and chair, and an armchair. The window opened up and looked out to an uninteresting view towards some government buildings. The bathroom was also modern in its fittings, with a shower and bathtub, although the water pressure was a little soft. Basic amenities are provided, as you'd expect from a normal western hotel. Wifi worked well in the room. ||||Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant on the mezzanine level. The variety was quite extensive, more than any place I'd stayed at in Morocco. Expect a feast with many options including different cheeses, vegetables, jams, different types of bread, even hot food such as sausages, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. This hotel is a tourist group destination, so expect to be eating with large groups and a congested breakfast area. ||||The reception staff were very friendly, being quite hospitable, a great command of english. Overall, a hotel delivering what you'd expect for the...
Read moreThe Majliss Hotel is a more western styled hotel that is located in the city centre just behind the train/tram station. Constructions were going on at the time of our stay, so there was some noise and some trouble getting to the hotel but it was not too annoying.||There were very few guests staying at the hotel so we could park our car right in front of the hotel, so that was very nice. We had two 2 rooms, one in the front of the hotel and one in the back. The one in the back had a lot of curtains covering the view and it took some effort to move them to open the window for some fresh air. Both rooms were clean, the bathrooms could be a little cleaner because we found some hairs. The rooms only had one wall socket, so we had to take turns to charge our phones/laptops which was a little inconvenient. The beds were clean but the sheets were tucked in so tight that it was uncomfortable. The breakfast is very good, the staff is very attentive and...
