Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in (definitely on our 10 night tour of Morocco) and likely elsewhere. The room smelt so bad when we arrived (drainage smell) running water for 15 min didn't help so we talked to a house keeper who told us to spray perfume!! The reception said they had no spare rooms. In the end they said we could stay in another guests room and they would stay in ours! The rooms look nothing g like the photos. The new room did not smell but the heavy marble sink and unit was not falling off the wall and we were terrified it would come crashing on top of us. The mirror and light was cracked, dirty marks on the bedding. The mattress was as hard as the floor. The toilet roll holder was on the bathroom floor with just a hole in the wall where it had once been. The only hotel we have staying in through the country that didn't provide a of water bottle in the room. There was a fridge but it didn't work. The bedside lamps only came on if you had the main light on also. The Internet didn't work and when we asked about it we were told it was because too many guests were maybe using it! Food was barely passible. The staff at the inside bar were sat smoking and didn't come to serve us when we waiting at the bar. There were 2 staff members at the outside bar but only one was serving the other just stood with his arms crossed while 10 people waited in line. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The pool area looks nice but we never saw anyone...
Read moreWould like to caution those looking to book at this property. There is only one listing on Trip.com currently but there are actually 2 properties under the same company (this has already been flagged to Trip.com so hopefully it will be rectified soon!)I booked to stay in a double room at RS Karam Palace. We arrived and was immediately told to go to their “annex” because we did not “upgrade” to stay at the “palace”. Showed them the booking and confirmation and was still told to go to the annex. When I asked if the annex was the same , they told me “better”.Well well, the annex (called RESORT instead, see key photo) is still under construction and renovation. Does not have a location tag on google maps yet, see map photo. Room is very different and definitely worse from that in the current listing online. No pool, no facilities. Service staff at the annex was slightly better, finally upgraded us to a better room within the same annex but told us to take it up with booking agency.Thankfully Trip.com is already aware of this issue but in case it takes awhile for rectification, this is to...
Read moreGood hotel, mostly up to european standards, maybe rooms are little bit outdated in room forniture and appaearance, but with large tiled bathroom and - could not belive my eyes - a very italian bidet. Sat TV connected with Nile sat with only a english channel (cnn) Hotel is up on a hill among another 3 or four big ones. The hotes are in sequence along a street watched with discretion at beginning and by stationary police patrols: so here a safe place to leave your super car or our modest rented one in this kind of tourist cage/bubble. On the opposte side of the street some tourist shops or tour organizers, mostly closed down to low season. Bathable pool, with nicely fresh water and beauty farm. Rooms are in small two-story houses, reacheable with paths along a very well mantained garden with palms and several little orange trees. The hotel is in a very strategic position: in 3 min walk, you can reach the castle and mefina of the old town , and in front the...
