OYO 11474 Gangaur Regency Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I had booked this hotel from 25th to 27th April 2018 for a conference two months earlier through booking.com. I confirmed the booking by phone on 24.04.18 as I was reaching Kathmandu at midnight and wanted to be sure that my hotel room will be ready. While at IGI airport on 25th, just before boarding the aircraft, I get a call from the booking.com saying that the booking has been cancelled due to RENOVATION work! In panic, I rang up the hotel and they gave the same excuse! Unwilling to accept this explanation, I rand up again, this time they said the booking was cancelled due to OVERBOOKING! This was absurd, so on reaching Kathmandu, I rang up OYO guy, he said there was an error in SOFTWARE because of which the booking was cancelled! It was a horrible experience as the alternative stay at OYO-BACKYARD hotel that OYO provided was absolutely down-market ! My advise: Avoid OYO rooms and avoid hotels like...

This property is owned by the Gangaur group, originally from Kolkata and popular for its sweets. The hotel complex also has a sweet shop (Gangaur Sweets). The rooms are nice, spacious, comfortable. Booked a room on Oyo for 31st Dec 2022 and had a booking confirmation. Went there for check in and the one of the staff directly told me to go away as there are no room availabe there for the night.
