Everything about this B&B was just fab! Joost was the ultimate host, and made us feel at home immediately - he's truly one of those people who was born to work in hospitality, a real people person. ||As for his knowledge of the city - it was second to none. He gave us some top recommendations of cocktail bars (particularly Spirits & Tales), really interesting museums, and an amazing restaurant called Haesje Claes that served traditional, delicious Dutch food! ||Re the B&B, Joost's attention to detail was fantastic - our room was spotless, the bed was really comfortable and there were lovely little touches like a bottle of wine and a slice of homemade strawberry cake waiting for us in the fridge. On all three mornings, Joost made us both a hot breakfast with yummy Dutch cheese, eggs and ham, just the way we wanted it - it was an ace way to start a day of sightseeing!||The neighbourhood was also really nice, with lots of independent shops, restaurants and bars, as well as a tram stop that takes you into the city centre and to the main train station (although we didn't use it, as the centre is only a 20-minute walk away). ||We honestly couldn't have had a better time - it was without a doubt our best weekend away together yet.||Thank you...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for a few nights while touring Amsterdam. We were immediately happy with our choice as Joost is a fabulous host and his B&B is located in a beautiful area!|We love to be a little outside the crazy, touristy areas and this hit the spot! You could easy walk to anywhere and there were plenty of great food options within a half mile of the B&B.|Joost is so helpful and prepares a delicious breakfast each morning! He is happy to provide suggestions and help you navigate wherever you are trying to go see.|The room itself was a great space. Plenty of room and very nicely furnished and renovated! The shower and sink were great and the toilet located just across the hall. The stairs going up are definitely steep but there is a good handrail and it's what's you expect for the architecture in Amsterdam.|Highly suggest to anyone stopping...
Read moreWe stayed her for three nights. Location is excellent - we walked from Centraal station ( stopping twice en route for beer). If we hadn't stopped it would probably have taken about 30-40 minutes to walk. The tram takes 5 -10 minutes and the team stop is really close. The room was lovely - comments about the stairs are accurate - nice and clean with everything you would want. Hoots was an excellent host - very friendly and helpful at answering questions. He cooked us Dutch pancakes for breakfast along with croissant, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, rye bread et. On the second and third mornings Hans was on breakfast duties and prepared lovely fresh omelettes. Excellent location - a lovely tapas bar on the opposite corner and various cafes and...
