The coffee is good and service pleasant.

However; since the redesign I find it about as atmospheric as an opticiens.

It has a stark white, decidedly “un gezellig” vibe with cold floors, bright white spotlights, white walls and minimal seating poorly laid out at the back so no natural light and just feels like I’m sitting in a shop not a cafe.

It’s in a beautiful old Amsterdam building with art deco windows but they make nothing of that. It’s like it’s trying to pretend it’s in a modern building which is a shame as the period buildings have so much atmosphere if you work with them.

A True Hidden Gem!

Kaldi Utrechtsestraat is hands down one of the best cafes I’ve ever visited. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends or simply enjoying some alone time.

The coffee here is exceptional—each cup is brewed to perfection, with rich, bold flavors that truly stand out. They also offer a fantastic selection of teas and pastries, all fresh and delicious.

The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do, and they go above and beyond to make every visit...

A wonderful cafe with a traditional feel. The owners are a treasure and make you feel the love that goes into everything they do.

The coffee never fails, never faults and has great consistency. I always take a flat white.

Their pastries are eye catching AND delicious! Now let’s talk about the cheese toasted sandwiches for a moment… Yes the doctor did order them for you. Kimchi toasted sandwich was a very big hit, and the classic ham ‘n cheese gave me ratatouille vibes.
