Knabbel en Babbel — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Absolutely amazing food. Our party had the mixed grill and sole fillets between us. As soon as we were done we ordered more. The kitchen was at that point closed but they did us a favour and brought us more! Delicious food! Amazing service from our waitress who enhanced the whole experience (I didnt get her name but if her boss reads this please give a payrise to the lady who was serving on the evening of 24th August 2018!)

After our meal as we looked to leave, a torrential rain storm started. We tried to call a couple of taxi places but they were super busy (because of the rain.) The owner of this amazing bar/restaurant then offered us a lift to where we needed to go! He was an absolute legend.

I was staying at the NHow RAI and in need of a burger. A Google search had me on a 40 minute walk to the nearest place. Five minutes later and I stumbled across Knabbel & Babbel.

I had a burger and fries that could not have hit the spot better! At the same time, the barman was super friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in.

The place wasn’t rammed, which I appreciated, and it was busy enough to have a good atmosphere. Plus there was a great selection of beers.

Carnivore’s delight! As a seasoned steak-lover, my fiance and I enjoyed the food here so much, we headed back two nights in a row. We had the garlic-butter steak and then the meat platter- both are fantastic! It’s popular with locals and tourists, and usually busy. Staff work hard and are super friendly!
