De Uitsmijter — Restaurant in Amsterdam

The worst of the worst experience i’ve ever had in a restaurant. What a shame. First of all, our food took an hour and 15 mins to arrive for just some toasts with eggs on the top. My team and I had an important event to attend and we were running late and whenever we followed up they would say to us it will come in a couple of minutes. And when i complained to the manager, the extremely rude chef came out and started threatening me and wanting to make a fight. The manager backed him up. They didn’t even apologize or try to make up for their terrible service. The food is also below average and not even worth a second of the wait. Our overall experience was beyond horrible and I would never recommend anyone to go there at all. The worst hospitality i’ve ever experienced...

We were there 5 minutes, enough time to check the rudeness of the owner/waiter. We go in, a few empty seats, we ask for a seat and he puts us at the counter, but no problem.

The menu says "Various desserts' so we ask if he had a cinnamon roll. The answer was as follows: "No, the truck didn't come by with deliveries, I can't give you a list with everything I don't have."

We remain a little speechless, but as if that were not enough he adds:

"And you are the last one"

As if we demanded or asked to be served immediately (obviously we didn't say anything).

Rude and badly mannered.

We attended an event at the convention center, starting at 2pm on the first day, so we decided to try this restaurant right across from RAI Amsterdam. It was quite busy, and they informed us there would be a 30-minute wait. However, even as the place started to empty out, we kept waiting. After 45 minutes, we asked about our order and were told that it hadn’t even been started. Finally, an hour later, they handed us takeaway sandwiches, but half of them were incorrect.
