Kobus Kuch — Restaurant in Delft

I read that this place had one of the best apple pies, when researching what to do in Delft.

When I first arrived, I thought the only tables where inside and on the curbwalk. Servers kept passing me, seeing me, but not reacting.

I walked out again, and when I crossed the lane, I saw - oh they have tables on the whole square.

I asked one of the passing servers, if I could just sit down, he said, anywhere.

I ordered coffee and apple pie, but changed my mind as I read some reviews mentioning that coffee was ... not optimal here.

The server was nice enough for me to be allowed to change my order from coffee to beer, even though 1 minute later another server came by with the coffee. That woman was not as understanding as my server.

The apple pie itself is VERY underwhelming. It even has raisins in it, which doesn't make it exciting. The taste is just boring. It was also smaller...

We had to sit inside because all the outdoor tables were full. It was actually very pleasant sat by a window looking out and the interior is very characterfull so it actually worked out better! The added bonus was we were not bothered by wasps. The apple pie and double coffee were great. We chose to have our pie with the cream - I think it would be too dry without. Very tasty, deep filling with nice cinnamon flavour. One of the best we tasted although to be honest all the apple pies we have tried in the Netherlands have been good. Cafe with a great location and a big outside terrace, quick service and quality food and an excellent spot for people watching.

We had a gyros pita and a pulled pork sandwich. Well presented dishes full of flavour and decently priced. The pulled pork was tender, sweet and juicy. The gyros was filling but I would personally recommend the spicy version of the dish as it lacked a bit of kick for my liking.

The large coffee is in my eyes just a normal sized coffee and could be better priced but it is strong and gives you a good kick to do some urban exploring.
