Absolutely love the Papatoetoe Markets, it's a must do if you haven't been before. My favourite stops are Aloha Eatz..Hawaiian BBQ stall! Compared to other Hawaiian BBQ places, they are cheaper. Portion sizes are massive, the Mac Salad is amazing! The neat is next level and tastes like no other BBQ place. The team are also super lovely and are actually from Hawaii. There are other food stalls that you must try as well! If you love sweets there are plenty of sweet stalls, im careful with the chocolate strawberry stalls, majority of them use whittakers chocolates, go to those ones. There is one stall that uses budget chocolate, the chocolate hardens within 2 minutes and taste old, the strawberries seem like they've been frozen because they are mushy, it's the stall that makes waffles and other strawberry cup options. Its gross! Try to get to the markets early or late, seems to get packed around 5pm. There's alot of stalls food, service (nails and massages) and knock off clothings, bags, shoes etc, toys etc. Whatever you are in to, Papatoetoe night markets has...

We usually love going here one Friday every month, or sometimes even 2 or 3 times more. My girls love the food and the stuff sold and bought there. That's why we usually end up spending more than $100 even though we would've planned to go for food only. We always end up getting more stuff than necessary 😄. But it's fun. The only downside for us, though, is the location - because it's in South Auckland, there tend to be a lot of the car muffler drivers making lots of noise within the night market area parking and where the people are. Sometimes, I even feel like it's unsafe for families to be there with their youngs because of how violent the sounds can be, what I mean is the sounds can be quite deafening and triggering. The sounds you would only hear if/even there's trouble. So, I would recommend going for the food and trinkets but leaving asap. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend for the weak...

My experience trying to host a stall at papatoetoe night market was disgusting. It's not the market place that is horrible it's Victoria, the organizer, who claimed to be the boss is a very rude nasty and money hurry individual. Over the phone they mislead people regarding the pricing for hosting a stall. I questioned other stall holders and discovered they only paid $50 but Victoria was aggressively arguing that its $100. When I called Paul he told me it's $120. When I initially called for Henderson night market I was $40 then following day told no its $60. Then day after that $40. Same thing proceeded to happened here when it was $50 then we arrived and was told by Victoria its $100. Additionally she started threatening us to either pay or get thrown out by security. Does anyone know where I can lodge a complain against this kind of dodgy...

The Auckland Night Markets are an explosive mix of culture and cuisine that combine to keep you coming back for more! Highly recommended foods to try are the pork/prawn & chives spinach fritters (with soy sauce & chilli sauce) from "Tasty House Restaurant", as well as the Korean Fried Chicken & Pork Belly from "Korean Bulgogi". With delicious food to cater for all tastes, cheap knick-knacks & apparel, and much, much more on offer, why else wouldn't you come check it out?

It's super busy here. It took time to find the parking, recommend to come early. Variety of food choices compared to last year definitely. We couldn't stay long here at it's so crowded. Highly recommend to try Pho noodles - special bowl is $23. We bought the milktea from chinese stall, it was average.
