Paihia Star Motel — Hotel in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

Paihia Star Motel was one of our favorite places to stay on our recent trip to NZ. It wasn't the fanciest, but it was the one we felt the most comfortable in. The location is excellent, the propriater friendly and responsive, the rooms (we had 2 next door to each other for the 4 of us) were large, clean, comfortable, well equipped (even with a small kitchen) and quiet and the breakfast, which was delivered to us to eat on a small table outside our room was delicious and filling. We have just returned from a 3 month trip and found Paihia Star Motel to be one of our favorite and most memorable stays. The room was very cozy, clean and well stocked and the location was very close to everything. What makes Paihia Star Motel so wonderful however, are the owners. They are kind, thoughtful and very generous and we felt very welcomed and cared for while at their motel. They did everything to make our stay a very special one, for which we are very thankful. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was excellently maintained and had all the facilities we required. Very nice kitchen area, large living area and comfortable beds.
