Pioneer Waterfront Apartments — Hotel in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

I couldn’t recommend this place more. Situated within QUICK walking distance of paihia central and ferry. Viv, the manager was outstanding, she went above and beyond. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The room was spacious and the bathroom was so large! The price was affordable for our group of 5. We needed basic but were provided with a wonderful room which exceeded our expectations. There was torrential weather and we didn’t hear any storms or rain. The room was quiet, warm and private. The deck / balcony area was a great size and would’ve been perfect in the sun. Shower pressure and spa bath 10/10. Car parking available at no extra cost - great to have offered for safety. I highly recommend Viv and her service, she was exceptional, friendly and welcoming. So sooo appreciative of her help getting the warriors on the Tele too! Actual tv options!...

Outstanding service and facilities with everything a family requires - we were absolutely blown away by our manager Viv & James who not only knew us by name but made our stay one of the best we have ever had away from home. Full kitchen including laundry facilities and the bathroom was amazing - clean and spacious with room to move. Sky movie channel was fully accessible so catered to everyone from sport to cartoons and the latest movies. Free wifi was a bonus!!! and a full recycling system made disposal of rubbish simple. Just when we thought we had everything - we also discovered Weber bbqs for each of our apartments! We used it for breakfast bacon and eggs and cooked our freshly caught fish for dinner!! Local supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants are walking distance. We can not wait to return!! Thank you Viv and James for the best trip...

Spent a 10 day holiday at Piahia and the Pioneer Waterfront Apartments. |The location is pretty much ideal with most things within easy walking distance. We had views across the bay to Russell plus the passing array early morning walkers (just no running round your room naked screaming ("I'm Free, I'm Free!) is recommended.|Property is well appointed with everything required for a self catering holiday, if that's your thing. Plenty of good eateries close at hand.|Viv the host is very welcoming, natural and helpful.
