I was very disappointed in my stay here. I traveled up from invercargill for a medical appointment, which was a 2 minute walk from here. So 5 stars for location, but that's where it ends. Everything was booked through an agency and the hospital. I arrived early about 1, was told my room wasn't ready big X for that, they knew why I was there you would think they would have it ready. Said I was going to make a phone call then all of a sudden it was ready. Then they wanted a $200.00 bond, who does that, I felt judged. When the agency went to book my accommodation they had me a bit futher away, so I went on line and found this place, they tried to book it and was told 220. I booked online for 180. In the mean time someone else from the agency rung and was told 230.00 for the night. Ended out getting it for 190. Disgusting how they can do that. The room was nothing to write home about, it was a wheelchair accessible shower.the pillows were so hard so little sleep was had. I've added a photo of entrance to my room. Overall disgusting service , so not recommending. FYI door on the right

When I arrived reception was closed and unmanned. No body around if you wanted to ask for extra milk or had any queries at all Place looked clean at a glance but was very dirty. Toilet was filthy. Skirting boards were covered in thick dust. Disappointed

Only a short walk across the road to North Shore hospital, no traffic or parking hassles. Ample, free off-street parking available. Staff very helpful in holding our room each day until we advised them that we would be leaving. ||We stayed in room 15 for two nights, which is 2 flights up stairs (no lift), could be an issue for elderly or disabled. Tea and coffee making facilities but no kitchenette in this particular room. ||||Positives: Modern bathroom and comfortable beds, with quality linen, lots of pillows available. Free wifi, easy to use and fast. Good heating in room. On request, motel provided with us with toaster and microwave which was much appreciated and very handy. Friendly and helpful management/staff. Although on a busy road, didn't hear very much traffic during the night. We were further down the back, but rooms nearer to road presumably noisier.||||Some minor negatives: only a very small balcony (no furniture or room for it) but having a balcony still very useful. Could do with more lighting in the room, as only natural light from small slider onto the balcony and window above entry door - the corner where the couch was, was a very dark corner even with all lights on. Some mould in bathroom - with thorough cleaning there should be none, and parts of carpet in need of a good clean. ||||Overall a very good option if you need to be near the hospital and the price was reasonable for Auckland. Dairy and cafe - 2 minute walk, as well as hospital food outlets and Smale Farm a 5 minute walk, for public transport and more...

We loved this motel. The staff were very polite, most helpful and the room was better than we expected. The room we were given was large and very comfortable. There were no facilities other than for making tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The spa bath was very large and we thoroughly enjoyed that. The room was serviced, which we had not expected, since we were there two nights. We would definitely choose to come back here if we were looking for somewhere to stay in Auckland. Very close to North Shore Hospital so convenient for anyone visiting though that was not what we were doing! Free Wifi was good. Our room had a locked door to the next room connecting the two rooms- they also had a locked door their side- so that option would be available if a family wanted 2 rooms. Ours was a triple room with a good king bed and a large...
