Kaimanawa Lodge — Hotel in North Island

I stayed in one of the two 2-bedroom units. It was very nicely appointed and maintained. All the kitchen utensils and supplies necessary, right down to paper towels, dish soap and salt & pepper. Very nice shower, spacious bedrooms. Each br has its own ensuite and one more bath for the sofa bed, plus washer dryer and pegs to boot. Staff very nice and knowledgeable, great talk on Saturday about the area with local business discounts offered. The place was creaky at night from hot cold expansion, nothing that could be helped really. Heat pump can't quite keep up with the cold, keep cardigan handy. Bed warm, plenty of bedding. I...

We enjoyed our stay at Kaimanawa Lodge. Very convenient location to walk into Turangi town and also to get to the highway to explore the area. The only thing that lets it down is that I could hear the people in the adjoining unit. There was a door between the units which unfortunately meant it was very "thin" there. I could hear their alarm going off in the morning and also their bathroom fan which they left on for hours on end. Apart from that, we enjoyed our visit. My 2nd stay at Kaimanawa Lodge. 1st time was a 1 brm and this time was a Studio. Unit was spotless and complex is very nice and well situated. The Studio was more spacious and better equipped than i was expecting and had everything in the unit you needed to self cater if you wished. Only thing missing was a washer and dryer which was available free of charge in a communal laundry. Very happy with my stay at this property and would be happy...
