I stayed one night on the top floor, level four.
This place is very tidy and fun to stay. It is a 1960s style building which has been refurbished. It is in a, middle of the city location, which is great for walking to activities and restaurants. A great place to stay for tourists and budget travellers.
My room had a separate shower room and a separate toilet room and a separate basin. Which is good if you are sharing the room. It had a balcony on the south side, which was great for the hot afternoon and evening, I sat out at night for an hour. My room was decorated in a modern fun style.
The room has radiator central heating, but no air conditioner. The balcony sliding door was great for ventilation, and there was a window behind the desk for a through breeze.
I had an afternoon swim and an evening swim in the pool, which is heated to a pleasant temperature. They set it warmer in the winter so you can swim outdoors on a cold day. That's fun. The pool has a number of patio tables and chairs, so you can sit out and have a drink or eat dinner or take away food by the pool. It looks like there are some pool side rooms on the lower floor.
There is no lift. I helped an older guy carry his suitcase up the stairs. He had been hiking and was exhausted and had too much to safely cary by himself. Physical accessibility is limited in this building because it is a renovated older building.
There are many rooms with shared toilets and showers down the hallway - back packers style I guess. The ones I saw appeared to be separate gender neutral facilities. Some corridors had a step half way down the corridor.
There is a shared kitchen on level two, if you want to cook a meal. There was basic coffee and tea facilities and a small fridge with no freezer in my hotel style room.
There are about a dozen car parks on the property, one had a type 2 tethered EV charger. You need to tell them if you are parking your car, they will assign you a car park number, if the car park will be full. You can park your car overnight out on the street near by, if the car park is full, but hide your stuff to deter theft, as you would in any city street...

We opted for the family suite, which exceeded our expectations in every way. The suite was incredibly spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchenette was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare our own meals with ease, and the ensuite bathroom was modern and spotless. Every detail in the suite contributed to a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff at Urban Lounge Sleepery were another highlight of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness. A notable convenience was the secure carpark. We were impressed with the safety measures in place, providing us with peace of mind. Additionally, the parking fee was very reasonable at only $10 for two cars, which added to the overall value of our stay. Overall, our experience at Urban Lounge Sleepery was outstanding.. Read moreMy mom and I had a fantastic stay at Urban Lounge and were very impressed with their level of service and the cleanliness of the space.
I had work to do during my stay, and the co-working space with many monitors and air conditioning and good wifi made working comfortable and easy.
They were very attentive to my mom’s needs as she is in her 70s and had some mobility issues. When a larger room on the first floor became available, they offered it to us to make things easier for her. The room was an upgrade, and were delighted by the offer.
When I forgot a bunch of gifts I purchased from Hobbiton behind in my room, they posted it to me and were very communicative throughout the process.
They absolutely went above and beyond!! Would recommend them...
