Ivy Hotel Emerald Court GRA — Hotel in Ikeja

The Ivy Hotel Emerald Court is a beautiful boutique hotel not so far from Radisson Blu Ikeja. The hotel is indeed a hidden gem. The first thing that caught my attention is the welcome service and how easy it was to check-in. We even got a free upgrade to a suite as first-time guests. One thing that stands out for me is the smell and cleanliness of the facility. The service is really top-notch but the kitchen and restaurant could use some serious improvements. We ordered a simple dinner and got it almost two hours after. The suite we were given was on the second floor and was very nice. The best part of the suite would probably be the toilet and bathroom. It looked first class. The food was also very delicious and I enjoyed every meal I had at the hotel. I totally enjoyed the experience here and I will recommend this hotel any day, any time. We were in urgent need of a good hotel that was close to the Airport in Ikeja and came acrosd Ivy Hotel.

Its a well laid out hotel with a big enough parking space within the premises. Staff were okay not as helpful as I would have expected as the concierge did not assist my partner and I with our luggages from the door neither did they do this at check out.

Although breakfast is a free buffet, its only for 1 person so we had to pay for a second plate and the buffet did not have a lot of varieties. For the room rate I expected more. Also ordering food from the restaurant took forever.

In terms of cleanliness it was just okay. We saw small roaches in the bathroom plus it had a smell. The Business room which is the cheapest are way too small and tight so we had to pay for the Deluxe which was a bit more spacious. I enjoyed how spacious the...

Didn't end up staying. Made a booking on their website only to get to the hotel to be told prices on their own website were wrong. Of course they wanted more. Not having accurate up to date rates on their website set an alarm ringing as per their maintenance efficiency. Was offered the most expensive room at a discount. Saw it and didn't like the cheap look of the bathroom. No tub and Small. Definitely not the standard expected from the most expensive suite. Since I did not stay, I can't rate staff and service.

A hotel should be responsible for misleading a guest with wrong rates advertised on their own website. Giving new rates at check-in can throw a travellers budget and plans...
