Tldr: you get what you paid for. Note: Rating is adjusted for the price. Location: the location is great, a quiet street very close to the city center with many restaurants, a mall and access to transportation. Room: I took a private room with a private bathroom, and spent 7 days there. The room was comfortble and suited my needs, had a hot shower and good wifi, but it had issues that could be relevant to others: the private bathroom is very exposed from inside the room (practically no door) so it's not suitable for 2 people unless they are VERY comfortable with each other or find a good arrangement for that. the walls and doors did not block noise. The street was very quiet but if you have noisy neighbors you will feel that. there are NO furniture other than the bed, so I had to use my bag as a closet. you need to climb some sketchy looking stairs to get there, not sure if they have a ground floor option. if you leave food outside it will be infested with ants. Service: other reviews say service was good but honestly I didn't feel that. The staff was helpful when I needed them, even if they were hard to find, but didn't feel very nice and welcoming. Also I had some communication issues with them since I don't know Spanish and their English is not good. To leave the property you have to ask the staff to open the gate which can be inconvenient especially since sometimes they are...

I wanted to buy a tour package, he was on the phone, but the male receptionist did not even look. When I wanted to leave my luggage in the safe deposit box in the morning, they asked for extra money and then said they did not understand. They didn't speak English either. I moved to another hotel. Two of my friends were coming next week, but unfortunately I can't recommend it. I've been staying in hostels for 1.5 months, unfortunately it was a bad experience. And room(bed) light is...
Read moreThe dorms are small and crowded, after the first night I upgraded to a “mini private” that cost more than dorms but less than private room. The room has a bunk bed and shared bathroom with the rest of the hostel. The bathroom was clean and nice. The location is not central to the bars and party areas which is good because it’s quiet. The hostel helps book tours to San Blas and other attractions. The owners and workers are kind and helpful. The pool...
