This is a fantastic place to stay in a great location. It feels like a home away from home--you immediately know you're in a Jewish place when you walk in the door. I generally spoke Hebrew in the hotel and met lots of nice new people who were staying there. All of the doors are accessible with mechanical keypads so you don't have to carry keys or be concerned with Shabbos etc.
The hotel is run by an extremely thoughtful, responsive, and kind person. He immediately addressed any concerns we had and made sure we were comfortable during the duration of our stay. I definitely feel that I made a new friend there.
The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, modern, and had many useful amenities. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioner worked well, we had plenty of towels and the shower has soap, conditioner, and shampoo so we didn't have to shlep anything. There was a sheitel head in the room and a safe in the closet for storing valuables. Tons and tons of storage--we put everything away including our suitcases and felt like menthshen. It really is a great place.
The location is about a 4-5 minute walk from Chabad and about a 10-15 minute walk from Beth El. Also, about a 6-8 minute walk away is a plethora of kosher restaurants and markets including Super Kosher. There also is a nice park across the street with a large playground. In the park, you have access to the beach and nice walking area that we enjoyed each night we were there.
The short story is you have everything you need in a 10-15 minute walk including multiple shules, mikvaos for men and women, a kosher grocery, restaurants, bakeries, etc. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Eshel Suites. The property feels thoughtfully designed for short or extended stays, offering both comfort and practicality. Located on a quiet residential street, it provides a peaceful atmosphere. Our room—Room 02—was impressively spacious, with ample cabinetry throughout for storage, including in the mini kitchen (a microwave and mini fridge) and bathroom—far more than you’d find in a typical hotel room. The bathroom was particularly well laid out, with three distinct areas: the toilet, the shower, and a separate dressing space. It even included a manual bidet, which was a nice touch. While there's a shared communal space for lounging, dining, and even games, we appreciated having our own table and chairs in the room for private meals. Our room also offered a lovely view of the Pacific. Despite being on the same floor as the lounge, we didn’t hear any noise from it. The air conditioning was whisper-quiet, and everything was spotlessly clean. There’s a small communal patio on the same floor where we sat and relaxed. A washer and dryer are available to use too. We also felt very secure during our stay; the building and hotel have security measures in place. The room has a safe. The location is great—just across from a park, close to Pacific Center Mall, and within walking distance of several synagogues. We had food delivered while we were out and the staff placed it in our room, put some things in the fridge, and notified us it had been done. There isn’t an elevator in the building so some rooms might be inaccessible to people with mobility issues. We really enjoyed it here and would definitely...
Read moreEshel Suites was the perfect place for our family to stay for Pesach. We were a group of six: 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 children ages 12 and 9. The Presidents apartment was immaculate, spacious, and suited all of our needs. There were 2 bedrooms, each with room for 4 people, 3 bathrooms, a full size very large kitchen, a dining room / living area, a beautiful terrace, and a great backyard. There is regular housekeeping too, and a washer dryer in the unit. Eshel is conveniently located, walking distance from the local supermarkets and a choice of shul’s. Ilan was so incredibly helpful and responsive, providing us with anything and everything that we needed, and always with a helpful smile. He even ran over to explain something about how to work the oven, just a few minutes before the Chag started. He was receptive to all feedback and concerns and was the perfect host! I highly recommend the property for anyone who wants the conveniences of home (kitchen, laundry) in an...
