If a days inn took over and managed a luxury hotel and put fast food managers in charge while still charging luxury prices this would be the result. By Panamanian standards this might be really good. I don’t have the experience here to say, but by European standards this is a three star hotel at best. On the positive side the breakfast is good much better than decapolis Or so my wife’s mom says. The suite we are in is spacious. Amenities are plenty. Coffee soaps etc. You can log into all your apps on the t.v Half the ac in the rooms work The satellite has few English channels but they are decent enough. The water is hot and the shower is powerful. The beds are comfortable and the maids clean and restock well although we tip decently. That being said, Currently sitting in the lobby due to construction in the room next to ours that we just realized has previously sent me to the er here for asthma. Who starts banging and spraying chemicals in a room that HAS occupants next door? When we arrived the pool was closed for the first week. As others have said, halls are damp and humid. There are dehumidifiers in the halls that are never running. The bathroom definitely has mold being painted over with purple paint. The elevator BUTTONS MAKE ZERO SENSE. The desk never answers the phone. Many third place spaces here now sit abandoned as I assume they don’t have the capitol to man them. Many areas in dire need of repair and in a state of decay. Everything here is overpriced and less than quality. The club floor has 3 drink options at 8 bucks a piece and they ain’t good. The mall is a dying relic. Like what you would expect it to look like if the walking dead actually happened. Just skip it and Uber to the other ones here. Most of the Employees don’t really give two craps about helping you. Guest services said they made my wife an appointment with the massage. No they didn’t. This morning Guest services sent me to wait in line at the front desk and went back to scrolling his phone when I asked about the varnish smell in our room. Who does that? I Contacted Expedia and they called the hotel and the hotel lied and said there was no construction. Sent Expedia The posted photo and the hotel hung up on them. We’ve been hearing The banging all week next door. We literally looked in the room next door and saw the demolishment at one point. This hotel is also on the market which may explain all the construction. The restaurant and coffee kiosk are overpriced and not great. Five dollar bottle waters. The French bistro next door is excellent. The store here has many of the same items elsewhere but higher priced. The hospital attached while reassuring will overcharge you big time if you habla Englais Ask me how I know. Same thing with the pharmacy here. 80 bucks for 10 dollars of nexium in the US That being said, compared to the hotel next door (decapolis)this one is a big step up. Not sure it’s worth the price increase in that step though. This is probably the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed at and the only one worse was a one bed room motel in Florida with crackheads in the parking lot. It was all we could get while traveling on a holiday That one smelled like the homeless has been pissing on the carpent for reference. TLDR; I would research more and book somewhere else at this price point. If you do book here do not expect Expedia or the hotel to give two craps about any issues you have. Expect damp hallways,no care for your quality of stay and possible construction right next door to you. Update we were moved to another room. Hallway is still damp more things are broken in this one wifi signal is much worse due to being higher up. Don't expect expedia to help if you book with them. Update 2 we got up this morning to the same chemical smells and construction on the new floor. We have had to call multiple times to get the room cleaned every day since being here. I will never stay here again. Update Megapolis doesn’t deeply regret anything. If they did they would have made it right when I was there.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights with breakfast included. I must admit that we had read previous reviews and had mixed feelings about this hotel, but we still decided to give it a try. However, I must say that it was not a good choice. First of all, the hotel is not adequately staffed to handle a large number of guests. The pool is so small that we didn’t use it even once because it was always overcrowded. There was also a constant problem with hot water. We reported it on the first and second day, saying that there was no hot water at all. Sometimes it was lukewarm, and we had to leave the water running for a very long time. The lady acknowledged our complaint and mentioned that they might be able to switch our room, but she couldn’t promise anything because they were fully booked. The next day, the hot water was fine. However, the day after that, the issue returned—one day there was hot water, and the next, we had to wait a long time with the tap running. Regarding breakfast, we only went three times. The breakfast itself is okay, but not particularly tasty. For the first two times, we had breakfast in one restaurant, but on later days, when we decided to go again, we found out that breakfast had been moved to a different location without any prior notice. This caused a lot of confusion. One morning, when we ordered a cappuccino at the breakfast, it was free. The next time, they tried to charge us for it. Then the manager came and said it was actually free. The following day, when my partner ordered a cappuccino again during breakfast, they once again tried to charge us, only to later say it was free. Then, to make matters worse, someone even came to our room with a bill, asking for a signature for the cappuccino. The check-out process was also frustrating—there was a long waiting, and the receptionist couldn’t provide written confirmation that there would be no additional charges. A $100 deposit was taken, and we were told it would only be refunded after the room was checked by housekeeping. Overall, the hotel is okay for a short stay of one or two nights, but not more. It is located on the 62nd floor and has an amazing terrace with a great view, but unfortunately, the bar there is not operational. The hotel itself is outdated. I do not recommend it.

The Megapolis was a decent hotel it did have a stale smell on our floor but we looked past that. Our room was nice we had the platinum suite we didn't have washcloths in our bathrooms which may have been a thing. The hotel was nice-looking. Pool was a vibe most of the restaurants weren't open. Breakfast buffet was a little unorthodox seemed to be more lunch/dinner options than breakfast but the only real complaint I have is the service and there was a language barrier as I speak ok Spanish but not near fluent. But my wife and I had a photo shoot that we had been working on and communicating back and forth with the staff since October we were told we would have access to different spaces in the hotel namely rooftop and heliport but on day of in which we were paying our photographer by the hour everything changed. It took us an hour at the front desk trying to get access to the areas we were told we would have we showed transcripts of the emails and everything, conveniently the manager we spoke to face to face 2 days prior to the shoot was "unavailable" and all the other managers were in "meetings" to the point our photographer had an exchange with them it was very unpleasant and unprofessional. The worst part is that no one tried to remedy our complaint it was just passing the responsibility no real attempt at making things right especially considering it was our wedding and we had to pay our photographer more money for "their" mistake and gaslighting they were very nonchalant and it could've ruined our special day.

I booked a vacation at this hotel from 4/21 to 4/27 through the Booking company because I knew I was landing at 4 am on 4/22 and I didn't want to wait for a room until 3. When we arrived at the hotel, I was told that the room was canceled because we didn't arrive on 4/21, I didn't receive a notification to confirm arrival, I was sure everything was closed, I had the opportunity to cancel until 4/18 and I didn't do it because I knew I would arrive. They canceled my room, which means the breakfast as well and I had to make a reservation again that morning when I was at the reception via Booking and also pay for the breakfast when in practice they could have given me the same price as on the website and received a net profit from the reservation on the spot. A terrible experience and helplessness with no one to help and there was no understanding on their part until our tour guide who speaks Spanish spoke to them and said that it does not make sense for the hotel to lose a customer who closed for the whole week and not give him a room immediately instead of him going and investing in another hotel. After the conversation they did find us a room (after two hours we are tired from the flight). The room was quite spacious but the bathroom as soon as you take a shower with hot water and the formation of steam, paint bubbles appeared on the wall and a strange liquid came out on the floor, after 3 days they exploded and was asked to move a room but we couldn't because we had to get up very early in the morning and we asked to postpone until the next day, the next evening when we finally arrived from long trip to the hotel tired and dirty, we were giving new cute room with a balcony but after I finished unpacking the suitcase, I discovered that there was a water leak coming from the floor, I have no idea how and why, we called reception to send someone to check again , and after checking, they moved us to another room again, and this time I really checked everything and didn't unpack because I was afraid I would have to pack and change rooms again We were very tired from the day and very hungry it was also our last two day at the hotle. I would expect that at least they would give us dinner at their expense it was late to go out eat or extra time during check-out, at the moment everything is relatively fine and in my opinion the room needs serious ventilation and cleaning smells little moly , but that's what we have at the moment. Another thing that happened the next day, only I woke up for breakfast, the boy was exhausted from the day before and the transitions, etc. and I said I would bring him breakfast, I got to the buffet at the hotel which is amazing and worth every dollar and I saw people with brown boxes packed with food and I asked where they got it but unfortunately they did not understand English , I turned to the person in charge of the breakfast to also ask for a box that I could pack and take my son's breakfast and he said that he cannot allow it because what if the child gets sick because of the food, etc. I understood what he was saying, but it's like ordering room service and not eating the food right away. get sick then what?! Won't you allow too?! One of the workers gave me a box and I packed dry things like pancakes and waffles. He really pissed me off because he asked for a room number in case the child gets sick!!! Like are you really serious??? I just left and went up to the hotel room.

I want to say that apart from 3 people who made this difficult on me from the beginning instead of being compassionate understanding as a person who works with costumer and want those customer to come back they ware not helpfully in any shape or form. . beside them all the staff members were amazing and patient and always there to help with anything.

Not sure why but hotel rooms and hallways...

‼️PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU ARE STAYING AT THIS HOTEL‼️ Yes, I get it. This hotel is very nice on the outside. And the exterior makes the hotel look top notch. But the little details make it terrible. Lets start with the service. They are nice, but, when we got our room, we noticed that a drawer was broken. We called management and they said they will fix it soon. Unfortunately, "soon" became 4 DAYS. Yeah, if they're going to say "soon" and it takes 4 days, thats not good. Eventually, we got so tired of waiting that we asked to be moved to a different room. Luckily, we got a choice of a beach view or a city view. Of course we picked the city view because the views were AMAZING. You have a direct view of the F&F Tower and other icons of the city. And since this hotel is located in Punta Paltillia, you see views of almost every skyscraper in the city. And not to mention. But it has easy access to Route 1 (Pan American Highway) and Balboa Avenue. Okay. Back to the bad stuff. So when we got into our new room. It looked better at first, but it all went downhill when we went into the bathroom. So I noticed something weird, I noticed that sometimes the toilet and showers are different in different rooms? Pretty odd. But in our bathroom, We were disinfecting the room when the toilet cover BROKE OFF! First negative. We called management and fortunately, he came right away. He fixed it quickly and thanked him. Now, the second negative. When we came back from going to the pool. We were brushing our teeth. I was first. And when I turned on the faucet, The water blasted EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. It was almost like a rocket was taking off in that faucet. We AGAIN, called management to fix it. He fixed it and we thought we were done. WRONG. When we took showers, something was wrong with the water temperature. The problem with it was that if we put it hot. It's burning, and if we put it cold, it's freezing. Ok, normal, BUT, the problem was that you couldn't make it warm. AGAIN, we called management and he had to fix the faucet and shower. Yes, it was happening with the faucet too. He fixed it and we thanked him one last time. And after that we had more complaints. But we decided to not bother. Here were the other complaints: Hair on the floor of the shower Shower head was broken in parts Windows were dirty TV was having problems etc. Now we're going to talk about the pool. The pool was nice and had beautiful views of Punta Paltillia. We could even see views of JW Mariott! But again. That's what it looks like on the outside. The little details are fairly bad too.
